ahhhh high school every teens dream....version of hell. does she completely hate it? not necessarily,does she enjoy it full on? not really, she wasn't bothered by writing essays or doing homework she just doesn't like the fact she has to sit there for hours because she finds it useless,but that's where nova is now,doodling in her notebook during biology for the past 37 minutes in class,not paying attention she doesn't notice the bell ring until her brother embry call nudged her

"come on nov the bell rang idiot" he said chuckling she rolled her eyes playfully

"yeah yeah em im coming i just got-"

"-distracted yeah like every other minute" he grinned.

nova had a habit of getting distracted easily wether she was in conversation or at the store or simply checking the mail

"whatever" she mumbled,picking up her stuff,and exiting the classroom,embry right on her tail

"uh-oh what did you do to make her upset?" quil atera walks up to them

"probably getting sidetracked am i right?" jacob black nudged her shoulder

nova sighs "i hate you guys"

"we love you too" the three responded in unison

while at her locker she looks up to jake looking off to another direction,following his stare only to face the everyday stares of what embry calls 'hall monitors on steroids'

"ugh can they go one day without drilling holes in me and my brother's head?" she whispers

jake sighs "when are they not looking at you guys?"

"i don't know but when you find out let me know" the bell rang and the two wondered to lunch,grabbing her tray and food she sits by her friend already knowing what's about to be unleashed-the wrath of jared cameron.

anxiously bouncing her leg kim waits for her friend to sit down "did you see what happened in history today?!"

nova squints her eyes "you know i don't see anything in any classes besides my own eyes drooping"

"welllllll jared cameron looked at me!" knowing she obsessively talks about him she locks eyes with kim and grabs her by her shoulders

"wwoooww kim such an improvement other then walking past you" she snorts
"you know who also stares at me? sam freaking uley 25/8,360,everyday" kim rolls her eyes

"i know i know but it wasn't a normal stare"

"oh yeah? well what kinda stare was it?"

"it was like when he locked eyes on me he couldn't look away and i felt compassion and a connection with him" nova stares at her friend with an emotionless face then bursts out laughing

"i think he officially got into your head"

"haha laugh all you want but i'm serious" kim cracks a smile

"sureeee" nova grins

it was just a few minutes after the final bell had rung where she found herself walking to her brothers truck with the boys waiting for her there already,she was walking towards them until a voice stops her

"nova!"

she freezes and turns around to be faced with a nervous jared,she slightly raises her eye brows "yes?"

he stutters "uh well i was wondering if your friend kim was-um s-single?"

a questionable look turns into a knowing smirk "wouldn't you like to know"

"uh yeahhhh ya know? it's-it's just that-" she didn't really want to talk to jared knowing her brother and her best friends were drilling holes into their heads,believe it or not jared,and her use to be best friends,when she wasn't hanging out at her house or the black's,she was hanging out at the cameron's,but that was before he stopped talking to her and joined sam uleys 'cult'

not wanting to be rude,and cutting off jared's terrible rambling,she nodded "yeah she's single" she said much to jared's relief,his shoulders got less tense and he let out a breath "if you want i can-"

"cameron! come on" an impatient paul speed walks over to the pair "i don't got all day we gotta go"

"right sorry just asking a question chill" jared turns to nova "anyways what were you saying before you were rudely interrupted?" jared sending a short glare over to paul

"oh i was going to say i could give you her number if you'd like" sending him a half-hearted smile,it was the least she could do for kim,i mean she has been pinning after him.it was only then paul looked over to nova at the same time she glanced at him brown orbs locking onto each other,he felt a tingling sensation in his stomach,his world is no longer,part of his soul reconnected,everything shifts,everything's whole because she's here,it's her.he imprinted,it was when jared spoke did they break eye contact 

"yeah i would like....that" he trails off noticing what his best friend just did,with a shit eating grin he says "you can also give paul your number if you'd like"

 paul's eyes widen and he smacks jared on the back of his head "he's kidding" she scrunched her eye brows curiously but let it slip nonetheless. she gives jared her number and stats to walk away only to be stopped by jared onve again "we should hangout more often since we kinda drifted apart,i had fun hanging out with you" 

she turns to them "y-yeah sure that sounds nice i'll have kim text you my number" she says looking at jared and shooting both of them a warm smile,did she really want to hang around jared and his gang? not really,but it would be nice to reconnect with her friend,walking back to jacobs truck she saw an annoyed expression on all the boys' faces

quil rolls his eyes "why were you talking to them?" 

before she can respond jake cuts in "you shouldn't be talking to them because of sam" 

it was novas turn to roll her eyes "jared was just asking me a question" 

"still,just be careful if they try to talk to you,they could try to lure you in and make you practice their ways" embry says very dramatically,having enough of the boy's behavior,she brushed past them and climbed into jakes truck
