Y/n's POV:
I sat at my desk watching the clock as I waited for my shift to be over. I hated this job but it payed well and I wasn't about to complain about that. As soon as the time changed to 10:00, I hurried to get my stuff and clocked out. I was about to walk out the door when I realized it was pouring.

Shit.

Of course, the one day I decided to not bring my car. It was sunny earlier, when the fuck did it start raining?! I sighed and pulled out my phone to call my best friend.

After a few seconds of ringing, he picked up.

"Hey Y/n, what's up?" Spencer's comforting voice piped.

"Spence! I'm sorry to bother you right now I know it's late but, I was wondering if you could give me a lift from work? I didn't bring my car and it's pouring out" I asked hopefully.

"Your never a bother Y/n, of course! I'll see you in 10" He spoke.

I could feel the smile in his voice, it caused me to smile as well.

"Thank you so much Spence, your the best" I sighed in relief before hanging up and sitting by the door as I waited.

"Y/n!" I heard as a car pulled up.

I pulled out my earbuds and smiled as I saw Spencer. Quickly I grabbed my stuff again and ran up to his car and got in.

"SPENCY!!" I erupted before throwing my arms around his neck and bring him close.

He chuckled, "Hello to you too love" He hugged back, not caring about the seat belt restraint.

Slowly and hopefully not too obviously, I inhaled his scent.

Caramel coffee, pine, and a hint of cologne. I always felt home when I was with Spencer. He was my home. But I never had the courage to tell him how I felt.

After a few seconds I pulled away even though I knew I didn't want to.

"How was work?" He asked with a smile.

"Exhausting but somehow I managed to get past the day" I laugh.

"Why don't you just quit? I'm sure you could find a better job with a good pay closer to your house than here" He said as he started the car and began to drive.

"I would love that but I'm not sure if there are any" I joked.

"I'll help you. I know a few places hiring if you'd want to check those out maybe later this week?" He smiled.

My heart melted.

"Of course, thank you so much" I replied with a huge smile.

I looked out on to the empty road, watching the rain fall as I heard the radio start playing the song "Ophelia". I turned the volume up a bit before coming up with an idea.

"Spence?" I ask.

"Yes love?" He looked over to me.

"Can you pull over please?"

Out of worry, he quickly pulls over and looks at me in concern.

"Is everything okay?" He asks.

"Yeah yeah it's just... do you like the rain?" I grin.

"Um yes? Where are you going with this?" He giggled.

Simply smiling, I turned the volume up even louder and got out of the car, leaving the door open. I ran out into the empty road and started to dance to the song.

Catching on quickly, Spencer laughed and got out of the car as well, leaving his door open and running out into the rain with me.

The world seemed to fade, and only music was heard as Spencer and I danced in the rain.

"Oh Ophelia, you've been on my mind, girl, since the flood!" Spencer sang.

"Oh Ophelia heaven help the fool who falls in love!" I sang right after.

At that moment I knew I'd fallen deeply in love with Spencer Reid. Heaven help this fool.

I stopped dancing and pulled Spencer close, a sudden urge to confess my feelings to him through the song.

His stunning dark brown eyes stared into my own, a deep passion behind them. His lips in a sly smirk.

"Honey, I love you.." That's all I said.

"Oh Ophelia, you've been on my mind, girl, like a drug" He sang, cupping my face and looking down to my lips and back up to my eyes.

"Oh Ophelia, heaven help this fool who fell in love.." I sang back with a small laugh.

He chuckled and just like that, I got onto my tip toes and leaned in. Our lips meeting at the same time. My stomach exploded in fireworks as I physically felt a spark as we kissed. Although we were soaked from the rain, we held eachother close, the car lights shining on us brightly, and the cold suddenly being replaced with warmth.

As we parted I ran my hand through his messy wet hair with a big smile. He smiled back and shook out his hair causing me to squeal and cover my face. Not like it matter but ya know?

Spencer turned to me and held out his hand which I took. He pulled me close and kissed my hand, my face probably red as a beetroot.

"I love you too Y/n" He smiled, "I always have".

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I asked, seeing as he already knew.

"I remember you saying you weren't ready for a relationship anytime soon, so I decided it was probably best to wait" He responded.

"You remembered that?" I didn't even remember myself, and even if I did, It didn't apply to him.

"Of course.. I waited a hundred years but it was worth" He smiled with a small chuckle, a soft blush appearing on his cheeks.

"I'm sorry I had you waiting so long, since I don't have the power to analyze people, I thought you only thought of me as a best friend" I shyly said with a laugh.

"I'd wait a million more for you, Y/n. You don't need to analyze me because I'm telling you right now that I see you as the best thing that has ever happened to me. My best friend that I want to make mine.. Y/n will you-"

I cut him off by kissing him passionately.

"Yes yes yes! Of course Spencer!" I said in between kisses.

We both smiled into the kiss until we couldn't kiss anymore because of how hard we were laughing.

Once we calmed down, we looked at eachother and began to dance again as another song played. The night went on until a thought popped into mind.

"Hey Spence?"

"Yes love?" He smiled.

"How are we gonna get in the car?" I laughed as I pointed out our absolutely dripping wet clothes.

"Oh shit" We both laughed.
