⚠️In this story, Spencer is 18⚠️

Y/ns POV:
Being passed around as the most popular and prettiest girl in school, if I wanted to, I could get any guy I wanted. I hated sticking with trends like other girls. I wasn't into cheer, more into physics, didn't doll up, only on special occasions, not into jocks, and more into..

A nerd.

I would stare at his jaw, the way he fixed his glasses, made sure his shirt was tucked in. To make matters better, he was extremely attractive.

Most girls made fun of him and teased him for being awkward around females. Boys would push him around and knock his books and papers out of his hand. The kids being the bitches they are, wouldn't help him. They would laugh and even step on his stuff while walking by.

He would distract himself in the library, so I've noticed. Behind fictional books, being so intrigued he wouldn't notice me staring at him. Another thing I came to realize is, how fast he would flip through the pages. I wondered if he was actually even reading.

The bell rang calling the end of school. He jumped at the sound and grabbed his stuff, keeping his eyes stuck to the ground as he walked out.

2:20. He always shows at the same time every day after his last period. I would follow in a few minutes later, trying to build the courage to maybe start a conversation with him.

Well tomorrow is Friday.. Woman up and do it.

2:18. As I waited by my locker, I saw him walk out of class. He took a sip of water on the way. 2:20. Once he found his book, he sat down. Reading the first four chapters in seconds.
2:28. Stepping out of the bathroom, I made my way to the library. The slight sound of the bell that hung above the doors rang.

He looked up. He saw me and quickly lifted the book to his face. I heard him mutter under his breath as I walked into the isle of bookshelves next to the table he was seated at. I scanned the section before grabbing a book off the shelf, 'The Final Six'. My go-to every time.

I looked over at Spencer to see him looking back at me. His eyes widened, darting his face back into his book again. I walked over to him and sat next to him.

"Hey, it's Spencer right?" Of course I knew that.

Slowly he turned to me. He saw the book in my hands and nodded.

"Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you. I promise" I lift my hands up in mercy.

Again he nervously hid behind his book. I slightly bit my lip at this reaction. I grabbed the book from his hands and gently placed it down.

"I think your very attractive" I say truthfully.

He gulped and stared into my eyes as I gave him a smile. He was hesitant to move. I pushed his glasses up for him making him flinch.

"I was hoping that you could maybe tell me about this book? You seem to know it" I asked nicely.

"I-it's about a s-suspicion of the ISTC space unit. The similar mission h-had failed under mysterious circumstances and killed the astronauts on board.. T-the finalists become fewer and their destines grow nearer that only two can fathom the full weight of everything at stake.." He replies.

"And what Would that be?" I asked so very intrigued.

"The world, the stars, and um their lives.." He nods.

I smile. "I Uh- I know we haven't known each other long but would you like to come over to my place and have a study session maybe? I understand if you can't"
