Unbroken promise {ending fluff😂}

"Spence please" You pleaded. Your boyfriend of 2 years, Spencer Reid, was about to leave for another case. Unlike most murder cases, this one was a lot more dangerous than others.

The day he told you he was in the FBI, you worried each day he went out to another crime scene. He always reassured you that he would come back.

"I would never want to miss the day I finally get to propose to you" Were the words that would always calm you down. It wouldn't work this time. You both knew how dangerous the was. He was putting his life on the line.

"As soon as I'm back, we can have a night to ourselves Alright? I'll take you out to dinner and we'll watch a movie at home" He reassured. His chocolate brown eyes were promising and truthful. Without a word from you, he pulled you close.

His coffee scented embrace filled your senses. The hot tears running along your cheeks stained his vest. He didn't mind at all as he felt like shedding some of his own. For only god knows it could be his last promise to you. Leaving a kiss on your forehead, he pulled back and stared into your eyes, wiping away the streaked tears.

"I love you"

"I love you too"

A day or two passed by and you hadn't heard from Spencer. He'd usually call at night to let you know he's fine and he'd be coming home soon. Days that he wouldn't, you told yourself he was just really busy and later that day get a text from Garcia or JJ.

Tonight, you couldn't convince yourself almost at all. No text or call. You began to worry that you were right. Maybe something happened and they planned on telling you when they got back instead of now? Maybe that was his last promise?-

*buzz buzz*

You looked down at your phone to see a text from Garcia.

'I'm so sorry..'

At that moment everything seemed to stop. The words floated from the screen and into your head. Without a second thought you grabbed your coat and rushed to your car. The steamy tears blurred your vision as you drove to the Jet.

The ambulance only made it worse. You ran out of your car and straight to the ambulance. Morgan held you back.

"Where is he?! Please I need to see him!" You screamed in fear.

"I'm sorry.." He says quietly.

You almost broke down when you heard those same two words again. Before you could, he said two more.

"Turn around"

In confusion, you turn around to see Spencer. Standing in all his beautiful glory.

Without any hesitation you ran to him, wrapping your arms around him tightly.

"I thought I lost you" You cried. He lightly chuckled. "I didn't mean to scare you" He whispered. That's when something hit you.

"Garcia and Morgan said sorry. Why?" You asked pulling back from the hug.

Everyone gathered around, giving you more confusion. He gave you huge smile and grabbed your hands.

"Y/n Y/l/n, the day I saw you I knew you would be out of my league. I have never wanted a girl as much as I want you. Unlike most girls, or even people, you like listening to me rant about the cases we solve and like learning about unnecessary words. Everyday I tell you that I would never want to miss the day I propose to you. I meant that," With the last words he got on his knee.

Reaching into his pocket, his pulled out a small box and opened it, revealing a gorgeous ring.

"Y/n, will you marry me?" He spoke looking into your eyes. You didn't think to hesitate and immediately nodded.

"Yes yes of course I'll marry you Spencer!" You cried tears of joy as the team around you erupted in cheers and whistles. Slipping the ring onto your finger, Spencer kissed you with passion and desire. Not once had he broken his promise.

And to this new beginning, he wasn't gonna start now.
