We walk into Harry's mansion and I look up at the crystal lights that hang from the ceiling. This party was much less crowded but still had guests that I didn't recognize. Peter had told me this party would be different because Harry's dad was here... The Norman Osborn... Interesting man, he seems to have a lot of secrets--though all millionaires do. The lighting in the room was blue and purple with a tint of white. The party was much more quiet than last time... I thought Harry had a rich friend's last time--no wonder Peter and I got away with not meeting the dress standard last time. The tile in the inner section of the room shined unlike the first time, it appeared to have just been polished.

Now this is something I haven't seen before: a completely sober Harry comes up to us. "Hello Peter, MJ, welcome back. The drinks and food are being passed around just hit up a servant." He jokes... Ah, rich people humor.

I nod and Harry leaves to talk to another guest, I look over at Peter who looked a little uptight. I took his armand led us out to the open space where a piano was playing elegant music. A servant came up and Peter and I took a glass of champagne each... "You ok?" I ask Peter.

"W-what? Yeah, do I not look ok?"

I shake my head and sip my glass, looking up at him.

"Guess I'm nervous, heh."

"No reason to be..." I say, taking his hand, "I'll be attached at your hip tonight." I assure him with a small smile.

He returns it... Though I can't help but think his mind is somewhere else... "You look really good, Peter... I'd say even handsome." I bump his arm with my elbow.

"You look even better."

"Not everyday we literally cost a million bucks."
He sips his glass and is about to speak when a voice from behind clears his throat.

Peter and I's attention turns simultaneously to see Norman Osborn himself... Taller than I expected, definitely six foot something. Which Peter and I were not.

"Parker, I didn't realize you and Harry were friends again... Figured you were too smart for him." He laughed.

Jesus, all ready?

"Heh, well I wouldn't say that, we just-"

"Of course you wouldn't." He laughs, "I heard about the stark internship... Good for you, my rival company but I hold no grudge."

I find that hard to believe... Wait--is this guy why Peter was nervous? Sure, he's intimidating but--

No, nevermind that's it.

"Excuse me, but would you mind if we had a chat on our own?"

So much for being attached at the hip...
