... Something Isn't Right...

I'm rushing through the city, a bit clumsy as I was still waking up, it must have been 5:30 A.M. and I was already running, the sun wasn't even up yet and light rain fell from the sky. I see smoke at the location Yuri told me to get to and I start to worry and pick up my pace. Then I see an explosion, "shitshitSHITSHIT-" I rush over and when I land on the damp concrete I look up to see bodies of officers everywhere, a demolished building sitting right in front with cop cars circled around it.

"Oh no..." I searched for Yuri, a few police officers and first responders were rushing around when I spotted her and quickly walked over to her. "Yuri... I'm so sorry, I should have been here sooner-"

"It was Hammerhead. He did this." Yuri looked up at me from the dead officer she was kneeling beside. Her eyes were scared, angry, and had a tint of sadness to them.

"We'll get him."

Yuri gets up, frustrated, "I know."

My eyes follow her as she speed walks past me and kicks a dead mob member onto his back and pulls his gun from his dead hands.

My chest tightens, "Yuri, what are you doing?"
I quickly follow after her as she ignores me and heads for a police car. She opens the door-

"Whoawhoawhoa whoa whoa-" I put my hand over the door and close it, "Take a deep breath."

"Spider-man. Get out of the way."

"Yuri, let's think about this-"

"You can either get out of my way, or be arrested." Yuri says, looking at me dead in the eyes.

I look at her and slowly put my hands up in defeat. She gives me a glare before opening the police car and driving off.

"... Shit."

I swing up to the buildings and look at the destruction from a higher view, the sun just coming up in New York. I bite my lip feeling a weight upon my chest. If I had been here sooner would things have gone differently? God, there's no point in thinking about that. I huff and turn my head back up to the city. I should search for Hammerhead, he shouldn't have gone far, right? I scan the area before jumping to action and swinging around the entire district as fast as possible. No sign of them. How'd they get away so quickly? Was it just Hammerhead?

My searching went on for an hour or so until I was busied with smaller crimes in the same district. The next time I get a glimpse of time it's five pm. How had I lost that much track of time? Then I hear a notification... As if this day couldn't get worse.

I look down at my phone seeing a text from Otto stating that I didn't need to come in today... In fact, he had lost the building and we couldn't work at all anymore. Nonononon, I press on his contact and try and call him but I'm put straight into voicemail. I huff and jump back into the city, swinging to the old building. Did Norman really take it? What were his grounds? What does he have against Otto?

I land and head to the roof door I've walked through so many times, but it doesn't open. I look around before deciding to kick it open. The building was dark and dull compared to the last time I saw it. I walked inside and went to the lab's door, opening it and calling "Otto???"

This was a sight I didn't want to see... The lab is covered in boxes and multiple things ready to be thrown away. I walked further in and saw the board we were working on... Something had been circled... Did he figure it out?? I look back at where the large mechanical arms were but they weren't there... Something didn't feel right.
