I had finished up outside, waiting for more reinforcements to come but there appeared to be no others. I decided it was time to check on Yuri's team. I look up at the house... Something wasn't right... I hadn't heard anything... I quickly go up and enter from the broken ceiling, following in the team's footsteps... Where were they?... Why was it so quiet?

I got to the broken entry way of the house. Standing on the landing of the two staircases that came together in the center... A broken chandelier sat in front of me In the grey ripped hallway. Wallpaper was coming off the walls and concrete debris was everywhere to be seen. The torn grey carpet underneath the chandelier led behind it and to a doorway that was closed off with broken wood and stone. I shoot over to it and stick to the wall... Didn't seem like I could get through... I search the wall around me and spot a vent... "alright." I say, crawling over to it before taking its cover off and crawling inside. I went deeper and deeper until I started to hear a voice... A low voice that was faint in the distance... Hammerhead.

I quicken my past and head down into the vents... They must be in the basement. I hear clearer as I get closer:

"What's my business is mine... I don't need no feds coming in here and trying to save the day... That's not how this works... Suppose I need to teach you all a lesson... So you never try this stunt again."

Shit.

I make it to the vent entrance and get ready to make my move.

"Let's start with you, shall we? Teach a little lesson in fear." Hammerhead says, pointing a gun at Marco Davidson, some of his men grabbing him and pulling him over to the other wall.

I kick through the vent cover and kick hammerhead right in the neck, guns firing in all directions. This wasn't good, in a split second a bullet hit the only light and we were all in pure darkness except for me. I still could see but shots were being fired blindly by Hammerhead's gang, all of them hoping to hit me. I hear screams when hammerhead throws me off his shoulders.

"Let's get out of here-" Hammerhead says.

I turn my night vision on and search the room, that's when I see the bodies... Yuri's team... I walk over to the first body I saw and kneel down, I look at the wrist and see the cracked Spider-Man watch of Marco Davidson... "No..."

I hear Yuri cough and pull out a flashlight, "Is everyone ok??" she asks, panicked. Then her flashlight falls over me and the body of Davidson. I look over to her, "I'm so sorry, Yuri..."

"No..." she comes to my side and shines her light onto the other side of the room where two more bodies of her team were and only one of Hammerhead's gang. "How did this happen?"

"I don't know..." I start to get a bad feeling, "but I think we need to get going..." I say, Yuri looks at me, "we can't leave them."

"I'm with you, Yuri but something's off..."

"What?"

"There's no plans or any Oscorp weapons in this entire building."

She slowly realizes, "let's go. NOW."

The two remaining members and Yuri head up the stairs, I follow behind and make sure everyone gets out. We ran through the room that was blocked off to me earlier and broke through a window, escaping out and running to the other side of the street. I stop and watch as Yuri's and her team duck behind a car. I turned back to the building, wanting to make sure there was no one else in the vicinity. "I'll be back-"

"No, Spider-Man-" I hear Yuri shout.

I jump up and swing to the building next door when the entire building has a shot of orange and red through the windows before the entire thing explodes. The force pushes me out of the air and I tumble onto the roof of the building next door. I cough and push myself off the ground, but when I look up, all I see is smoke... He knew we were coming... My spider sense starts to go off, and I hear a crumble from the building I'm on, "Oh no-" I quickly get up and run to the other side as the building started to fall over the base that had just exploded. I jump off and swing into a window, "Is anyone here?!?" I shout, but I only see an empty office. I wish I had time to search but the floor started to lean and I knew it was going down, I jumped back out the window and onto the brick wall of a building close by, when I looked back, debris enveloped the entire surrounding area...

I quickly jump off and over to where Yuri and her team were last, having some trouble seeing through the debris. I manage to land right beside them, "is everyone ok?" I ask, hearing a few of them cough. Some of the debris clears and I see Yuri stand up...

She looks up at me with an expression I had never seen before, "We lost."

"... We'll get him, Yuri... I swear to you we will not lose next time. I promise."
