Alice was going into labor, her baby was coming. . . . She wasn't ready, she was only 29 weeks, she couldn't possibly go into labor
Pop rushed her to the hospital with Betty and Jughead in the back seat
Alice was in agonizing pain, but before she knew it she was laying in a hospital bed being looked at by a doctor
"Alice, you are indeed going into labor, you are 5 cm apart and way more early than we would like so we have to proceed with caution okay?"
Alice nodded "is she gonna be okay?"
"Your baby has a 80 to 90 % chance of survival and if the infant dose survive the have a 10% chance of having long-term health issues... but we are going to do everything we can to get you and this baby through this labor healthy"
Alice was petrified, her baby has a chance of death, she didn't know what she would do if her baby didnt make it
One thing she did know was that no matter how painful or exhausted she'd be, she would di her all to bring her child into the world
Pop was by her side "Ali, Forsyth is on his way"
"Okay- Pop... I'm scared"
"I know girly, but you'll be okay. You know how I know?" Ge paused "because your Alice Susana Smith, the most powerful woman I know" Pop said
Fp walked in to the room and Pop sat up so Fp could sit by Alice
"You can do it kiddo, I know you can"
Pop left the room
Alice was sweaty and crying, and in alot of pain
Fp grabbed her hand "babe what's going on?"
Aluce sighed "She's coming Fp"
Fps face dropped "Is everything going to be alright"he questioned
"Hopefully.... its early Fp, they gave me some drugs so I wouldn't be in so much pain," Alice let a tear drop she begun to feel tired "everything is going to be alright, it's going to be alright, its gonna be... alright, it..s go..nna..b.e al..right" she fell asleep
She was asleep for a few hours until she woke up to the doctor "alright mom let's wake up"
"Is it time yet?"
She groggily asked knowticing that Fps hand was still clung to her own
"Well let's take a look" the took a moment examining Alice before coming back up "Your babys ready to meet you guys, your at 10 centimeters'
Alice and Fo smiled
"Alice I'm gonna get the nurses okay I'll be right back I want you to get ready to push"
Alice nodded as the doctor walked out
"Baby, were going to meet our baby" she smiled
"Your going to do great babe" he kissed her forehead
Alice rubbed her belly "you better be okay little one, can you do that for mommy?' She said
Fp smiled at her, he knew she was a little scared but he also knew that she needed to be strong so he didn't want to mention anything, he was just there to be her cheerleader and be there to welcome their baby into the world
Within minutes 4 people came into the room and Got ready "I need you to push"
Alice clung to Fps hand and grunted threw the first push
For the next 2 minutes Alice pushed untill the babys head was out
Her head fell back getting ready for the hardest part
"Alice, I need you to give us a really big push okay?"
Aluce looked over at Fp with worried eyes the drugs have been wearing off, and with every second it got more painful
"You got the Al, you can do it"
Alice shook her head no "I can't This hurts so much" she cried
"Al, no, don't say that, you know you can, Alice your the strongest woman in the world, I know it hurts but just think about holding our baby in your arms"
She smiled until another contraction hit her
She gave it her all, she pushed hard "SHIT" she yelled
Doctor looked up at her "Mrs. Jones, you have to push harder"
Alice wrapped an arm around her leg and she took a deep breath and grunted and pushed and cussed untill she felt her hips relax
Alice flops her head back on the pillow waiting to hear crys
But she doesn't
She looks over to see her baby surrounded by doctors who are trying to get the gunk out of the baby throat
Alice is in complete worry mode "Fp"
She crys softly
Fp was staring at the doctors who surrounded his child
They both let the breath out once the heard a babys crying
They walked over to Alice and sat the very small infant on the mothers bare chest
Alice cried "oh" she whispered "Mommy loves you so much"
Fo kisses Alice's temple "Alice you did great, she beautiful"
"She?" Alice hadn't even gotten a chance to look "I told you i knew she was a girl"
Fp chuckled
Alice ran her thumb over the child's back "Niya Susana Jones" she whispered "my baby girl"
