I walked home after the little get-together in the park with the band. I had my phone out and texted my dad to tell him I was on my way home.
I'm just coming. C ya soon.
I sent the message and pocketed the phone.
My phone buzzed.Ok. Y'd u go out anyway? Xx Dad.
I smirked at the phone. Of course he would want to know.Just wanted a little walk. It's a lovely night out.
His reply was quick.Hurry up and get home. It's dark and it's cold. Xx Dad.
I replied: Just turned on our street.
With that I jogged to my house. I walked through the door and took off my shoes, shook off my coat and hung it up. After, I went through to the living room, where my family were sitting watching The Voice.
"I will never understand why you watch this." I shook my head at my family.
"Just 'cause you have a dislike for this show does not mean we can't watch it." Finn stated.
"It's not just The Voice. It's all those type of shows like the X Factor as well."
"Why don't you like them?"
"It's just sad." I said with a shake of my head, "People go on those shows hoping with all they have that they'll get through. When in the end their dreams get crushed and they don't ever sing again. It ruins them basically. The Voice isn't that bad, it's more the X Factor and BGT cause the people are just laughing stocks on national TV." I said shaking slightly from my anger.
"Whoa. That was deep sis." Kayden laughed slightly.
"Yeah but it's my opinion." I said with a shrug.
"Sit down and just watch the show." Kayden sighed.
"Nah I'm going down to my room."
"Ok that's fine hunny," My dad said, "Just don't stay up too late."
"Yeah sure thing dad." I smiled.
"Don't play any instruments they're too loud I won't be able to hear the TV." Complained Finn.
"I'm going to do some recording work so it's fine."

(A/N not my song, The Call by Regina Spektor)
Now, we're back to the beginning,
It's just a feeling and no one knows yet,
But just because they can't feel it too,
Doesn't mean that you have to forget.I hear the door to my room open from inside my rec booth. Ignoring whoever it is, they can wait. I keep singing.
Let your memories grow stronger and stronger,
'Til they're before your eyes. You'll come back,
When they call you,
No need to say goodbye.I repeated the last verse and took off my headphones. I put them on the chair and I walked out the booth, into my room.
"You singing that for the Talent show this year?" Kayden asked.
"Yes I'm am. Why are you down here?" I didn't say it rudely I was just curious.
"Well mum and dad are going to bed so I was told to tell you no more music." He told me, "You can stay up a bit later it's just that mum's got work tomorrow and dad's just tired." He shrugged.
"Ok thanks K." I nodded my head at him.
"It's cool. Night little sis." He said as he walked out my room, back upstairs.
I decided to get ready for bed. I walked into the main bedroom, turning on the light. I checked my phone to see I had some unread messages.
We need to talk. -Tess:)
I replied: Go on what's up.
There was another message...
Did u have fun tonight?
It was from Zac, I smiled.
Yes. Yes I did;)
Ding.
I'll speak tomorrow. Gtg to bed. Night night. -Tess:)
Just as I was about to close my phone Zac replied.
Good. I'm glad. R u ok about being in the band?
Yes! U idiot, of course I am other wise I would have backed out.
I put my phone down on the bedside table, went to my wardrobe and got out my PJ's. I got changed and brushed my teeth.
I was just making sure:/ I don't want u to go...I stared at the phone. What was he saying? I shook my head and replied.
I'm not going anywhere Zac. Y would u think that?
No reason. Came his reply. I'll c u on Monday. Goodnight Ko.
Ko? I like it.
Goodnight Zaco.
I hope he liked my nickname for him.
'Cause I like mine.
That was my last thought before I drifted off to sleep, in my cosy bed.
