I placed my bag down, took out my song book and walked over to the keyboards. I sat down and plugged in the headphones, once I was settled I started working on some random stuff that came into my head.
I just sat and stared at the keys for about five minutes before I gave up. There's only so much I can do before my stupid mind blanks out and I can't think about anything.
I took the headphones off and closed my note book with a sigh. It was then that I realised Zac sitting in the corner with a guitar in his hand. I wanted to walk over but thought it would be rude and I'd disturb him...
Oh come on Kody! Just go over... he's your friend.
"What ya doing?" I asked shyly as I walked over to him.
His head snapped up at the sound of my voice. "Oh, eh nothing." He looked back down at his guitar.
"You are so, it sounded really good." I smiled and sat down next to him. "Play it again... please."
"Okay..." He started strumming a tune.
Hey, hey, hey,
Your lipstick stains,
On the front lobe of my left side brains,
I knew I wouldn't forget ya,
And so I went and let you blow my mind.He became more confident throughout the song, getting into the rhythm.
Your sweet moon beams,
The smell of you in every single dream I dream,
I knew when we collided,
You're the one I have decided,
Who's one of my kind.He trailed off, stopping his guitar.
"That's eh... all I have so far." He muttered.
"You wrote that?!" I exclaimed.
He looked up, with a slight blush colouring his cheeks. "Yeah I did..."
"Zaco, that was amazing." I stated mind blown.
"Thanks Ko." He beamed at me and my heart skipped a beat.
I smiled back, "No problem." I blushed slightly with his gaze on me.
"What where you working on?" He asked shifting in his seat.
"Oh..." I tucked some hair behind my ear, "Nothing much, just pottering." The hair fell back into my eyes.
Zac leaned over and brushed it out of my way, it stayed in place. I felt my cheeks heat up.
Oh so you move for him but not me?! I yelled in my head.
"That's okay. Without pottering we wouldn't write songs." He stated wisely.
I chuckled, "Such wise words Zachary, such wise words."
(It's short I know, it's not the greatest I know. But I need to keep writing this story. I've had barely any motivation or inspiration for this book and it is annoying. WRITERS BLOCK SUCKS. But I'm getting there... please just bare with me.)
