A week had passed since the rugby match against Carnoustie and Dundee. The week had flown by so quickly. I walked off the bus and waited for Haley-Mai.

"How've you been?" She asked me. I felt like I hadn't talked to her in ages but I went to lunch with Haley and Evie yesterday.

"I'm good, Finn is staying longer 'cause his teacher person has had a back operation, so the uni is just sending work over for him. Which is good for me not so good for Finn, I think? How's you?"

"Good. Nothing much going on on my life at the minute." She shrugged, "My sister won her gymnastics comp yesterday. But that's not surprising."

Haley's sister was the epitome of a perfect gymnast. She was absolutely amazing and had sponsors all over the place. She won money all the time and her parents adored her. So as you can see Haley didn't really love it. She loved her sister, of course she did, but her parents didn't even look at Haley. The really sad thing about it though is the fact that Haley-Mai is a God when it comes to art. She loves art and is absolutely brilliant at it. When she was younger her parents spoilt her but then when she was three her little sister was born. After she did a cartwheel at the age of two her sister was thee one and only in their parents eyes. I met Haley in an art room at a youth club thing. I went to do music and drama and have fun. I walked in on Haley when she was painting. We'd been friends ever since.

"We have second together don't we?" Haley brought me out of my reverie.

"Yeah. Science with Mr Barrington." I sighed.

"I crei!" Haley-Mai cried out, "No! It's a Friday how could God do this to us?! We don't deserve it."

"Well it wasn't God was it, it was the reception people. I think? I don't actually know." I shrugged.

"Oh well whoever it was must hate us or something." She turned to me, "Let's get going the bell's gonna ring soon."

And with that we walked through the doors of the school, "I'll see ya in second enjoy regi!" Haley-Mai called out to me as she walked towards her Religion class.

"Yeah I will." I called back and waved.

"I hated that." Haley groaned as we walked out of science together on our way to our bench for break.

"Agreed." I rubbed my hands over my face. I loved science but honest to God that man managed to make it the worst subject on the planet. He had this monotone voice and he always chose the partners, always, we never chose where we sat either! And when he talked about something! Just no! It should be a crime to be that boring. Forget Mr Barrington talk about Mr Borington!

As we arrived at our bench by the drama huts I saw Zac walk out from French just opposite. He caught my eye and waved. I smiled and waved back. His friends then called him over and he nodded goodbye to me.

"Ohhhhh you so like him girl." Haley elbowed my side, "Wait isn't that Zac Smith?!" She gasped.

"Yes it's Zac Smith. But no, I do not like him." I told my friend. But I couldn't help feel the little butterflies/bats reappear in my stomach when he waved.

Haley gave me a look, "Really? You are in denial woman. I saw the smile."

I thought about it... maybe my friend was right. No. She couldn't be! I can't like Zac! Could I? No! Yes? No! I sighed, frustrated. Bad move. Haley took it for a 'love struck' sigh.

Haley squealed, "Aww you do like him! You should tell him!"

Now I was my turn to gasp, "No! That is a terrible idea!" I told my friend. I'm in a band with him! I added in my head.
