Zoey and I just laughed at talked about the weekend and some school stuff as we walked back up to the school. It was relaxing after the day I'd had. Well I guess I had my afternoon classes to look forward too.
"Zoey?" I asked her after she stopped laughing at a joke I'd made about on of the sluts in our year, who we saw trying to get it on with one of her 'boyfriends' friends. Talk about hoe.
"Yeah? What's up?" She replied.
"What do I have next?"
She face palmed.
"What?!" I asked, totally confused.
"You have history you dodo." She sighed, exasperated.
I laughed, "Oh yeah!"
"'Oh yeah'" She mocked, "Honestly Kody you'd think that maybe by now you'd know your timetable."
"I know it better than you!" I retorted, "I just had a mind blank." I shrugged as I took a drink from my Irn Bru.
Before it touched my lips it was ripped from my hand.
"Hey!" I shouted, coughing.
"No! Bad Kody! No more sugar." Zoey scolded me.
"What?! That's not fair!" I whined, "You're the one that let me buy it in the first place!"
As I said that three boys that I knew walked round the corner. Zac, Brendon and Derrick.
"Oh no." I heard Brendon exclaim.
They walked over to me and Zoey.
"What did you do Kody?" Derrick questioned.
My jaw dropped in shock, "Excuse me?! I didn't do anything! Why'd you immediately think it was me?! Zoey took my Irn Bru!"
"Zoey!" Brendon shouted at my friend.
"Finally someone who cares!" I tried to grab my beloved drink back but Brendon took it instead.
"Why did you let her buy Irn Bru?!" He asked.
I threw my hands up in exasperation, "Is it against the law for me to buy Irn Bru?!"
"Yes!" The all shouted, simultaneously, at me.
I huffed in annoyance and snatched my drink back. I put the cap on and tucked it away in my blazer pocket.
Zac caught my eye and smiled. I smiled back, it turned into a smirk and he frowned.
"So who's ready for history!" I said.
They all groaned and Zac smirked, "Yay!" He wrapped his arm around my shoulders.
OhmyGod! Focus Kody! Wait? Why do I need to?!
"Come on Ko, let's go torment Mrs Jones."
I pouted at him, "Aww nah we can't do that to Ann! It's not fair she's awesome!"
He nodded in agreement, "True. And she is Lucy's mum so we can't do that."
"Yes. Lucy is our friend and we are not that mean." I stated.
He looked down at me and smirked, "Well... That's debatable."
I fake gasped and hit his shoulder, "That's so mean." I pouted.
He laughed and looked back at me, his eyes twinkling with amusement. He smiled and I smiled back. His eyes where honestly the clearest blue I'd ever seen. I could see darker specks of blue near his pupil, surrounding it like a small ring. The rest of his eyes though reminded me of ice on a sunny day. The way that they sparkled. I could honestly get lost in his eyes. Which is what I was.
EARTH TO KODY! WAKEY WAKEY!
I would've happily just stayed there, with Zac's arm around me, looking into his eyes. But of course all good things must come to an end. The bell rang.
I jumped and smiled sheepishly at Zac, he just smiled at me. I could feel myself blushing. I looked up at my friends to find that Derrick was smirking at Zac and Brendon. Zoey just looked between the two of us with a knowing look.
"Right! Well let's get to class." I said as I adjusted my bag on my back.
That seemed to get people moving.
"I'll see ya in a minute." Zac said as he walked away, smiling his goofy smile.
"Yeah. In a minute." I waved, smiling at him.
I laughed slightly.
Zoey looked at me, "What's so funny?"
"Oh nothing." I replied.
Truth was the thing I found funny and slightly clique was...
I was falling. For Zac. For my band mate. For my best friend. And I was falling hard. And fast.
