I'm sorry for making you guys mad the last two chapters, I can't lie, it was pretty funny but I hope the next two chapters make up for it! This chapter will be a longish chapter so I hope you guys enjoy. I hope you guys are all doing well, take a break from everything while you're reading this. Draco stayed for a couple more hours, we ate in my room with George and he read me one of his favorite books. He mentioned that he would've stayed overnight but he hadn't told Pansy and Blaise anything so he left. George stayed for a bit, said he didn't want to deal with Fred. We played some wizards chess, he told me some stories about pranks they would pull before I got close to him, we looked at his old school pictures, and he also read me his favorite book. It was about 12, everyone in the house was asleep, George fell asleep on my bed.

I couldn't sleep so I went downstairs for a glass of water. Once I reach the kitchen, someone was already sitting there. A miserable looking redhead, with a glass of Fire Whiskey, leaning back on his chair, looking up at me. I sigh and walk towards him, I gently take the glass and bottle away from him and place it next to the sink. I sit down on the chair next to him and just look at him; he's been drinking for a while, I could see his bloodshot eyes and dark circles in the dim light. He looks away from me and to the floor, rolling his tongue against his cheek. I grab his hand to make him look at me, he pulls it away.

I look at him again and gave up, standing up to walk back upstairs. Fred grabs my hand, "I'm sorry Y/n" He slurs, barely able to talk. He tries standing up but almost falls as I'm able to grab his arm and hold him up. I shake my head at him, "Why are you doing this?" He looks down at me with a confused face, "Never mind, how long have you been here? That bottle is more than half empty." I help him sit back down and I do the same after.

"When Beth left, you guys were all upstairs and I was down here so I started drinking. Draco came down and Y/n, it took all of me not to jump him. All I could see was his hands all over you and I couldn't take it." I decided to ignore the last part that he said, "Fred did you not eat dinner?" He shakes his head. Immediately, I get up and turn on the lights to make him something. We didn't have much and I didn't want to waste too much so I made him some scrambled eggs. The entire time I was moving around in the kitchen, Fred wouldn't take his eyes off me. I finally finish and sit back down, placing the plate in front of him.

"You're going to eat okay? Do it for me, it'll help you sober up and not give you such a bad hangover tomorrow." He nodded his head and began to eat. I was glad he didn't try to argue with me, it made things easier.

"So, is Elizabeth good to you at least?" I let out in a sad tone, not meaning for it to sound like that. I shouldn't have asked, I knew it was going to upset me but I couldn't help myself. Fred swallows his last piece of food and nods his head, "Mhm." I didn't say anything, I bit my tongue and just nodded. I grabbed his plate and got up to clean it. Just two seconds later, I feel two hands around my waist and a hot breath on my neck.

"Fred, what are you doing, go sit back down." He doesn't, instead, he began to place kisses on my neck. I inhale deeply before turning around, placing my hands on his shoulders, and pushing him away from me. "Fred, what is going on with you?!" He closes his eyes before turning back and stumbling back to the table. I turn back to the sink and quickly finish cleaning this plate and putting it away; I sit back down next to Fred.

"I'm sorry Y/n, I am, I shouldn't have called you a whore, I shouldn't have hit Draco, you have the right to get with whoever you want. I'm sorry I hurt you, I just didn't want to get hurt. I noticed you and Malfoy were getting closer and I didn't know what to do. I felt like you were going to get with him so I just got with someone else and it didn't help because now you are getting with him and I shouldn't be upset because I have Elizabeth and she's great. When I'm not next to her, I feel normal, I don't even like her that much but the second she's around, it's like I'm hypnotized, every time she kisses me, it feels amazing, when I'm with her, I feel like she's even better than-" I stopped his rambling because I knew what was going to come out of his mouth was going to hurt like hell.

"Okay Fred, I get it." He places his hand on top of mine and shakes his head, "No, listen to me. When I'm around her, I feel like she's even better than you. But there's this thought that's always in the back of my mind, even when she's around and it's the fact that I am in love with you Y/n Wood, and I just can't help being next to you, touching you. When I saw Draco touching you the way I once did, Merlin, I couldn't stay back. And trust me, I wouldn't be telling you this if I was sober and I won't remember this in the morning so that's why I'm telling you this." I couldn't say anything, I was confused, upset, but mostly angry.

"So, you get a girlfriend because you're so in love with me?!" My voice was starting to rise, I knew I couldn't be too loud but I couldn't hold it in. "No, Y/n do you not understand?" I get off my chair and throw my hands up, "No! I don't understand, how are you going to get a girlfriend because you're scared someone will get me. Ask me out, you idiot! Draco did, why is it so hard for you to do it!" Fred gets up too, stumbling as he does, "It's not that I was scared to ask you out, it's that Beth makes me feel things that no one else does, and it's like, as much as I'm in love with you, whenever she's around, I just forget about you."

My mouth opens but nothing came out. Tears form in my eyes out of anger. Fred runs his hands through his hair, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." Anger kept building up and up as he continued talking. "I hate you, Fredrick, go have fun with Elizabeth. I'm glad Draco asked me out." I walk out of the kitchen, Fred whisper-yelling my name.

Just as my hand touches the stair railing, a loud noise comes from the kitchen. I run there to see Fred on the floor, clutching his ankle. "You're an idiot." My voice with no emotion as I kneel and fix him up.

I finished healing his ankle and look up at him. His face was tinted red and he had tears going down his face, "Please don't hate me, I can't lose my best friend. Please." His voice cracking and more tears running down his face. "I can't always be your second choice Fred I-" He grabs both of my hands, "No, no you're not my second choice. I know you don't and you won't understand so let's not talk about Beth. Don't hate me please, I can't even imagine how angry you must be but please please please don't hate me."

I don't say anything, I just get up and head back upstairs. When I reach the top, I heard glass breaking downstairs and Fred yelling. I couldn't help but feel bad, even though I knew what he was doing wasn't making any sense. I laid down and went to sleep.
