FRED'S POV:

I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on the door, I make sure Y/n is still fast asleep before carefully getting off the bed and opening the door. "I closed up the store, mum told me you guys were up here," George whispered. I let him in and we both sat down on the bed, I sat close to y/n and moved her hair out of her face so I can clearly see her. Just like always, she looked so peaceful; even after a shitty day. I can't keep my eyes away from her, not until George says something, "What happened, today mate?" I sigh before turning to him.

"Puecy happened. He showed up to the shop and started yelling at Y/n, when I got downstairs, she looked so shaken up. The Y/n I know wouldn't just let someone yell at her." George looks at me with a confused face and I go on and explain everything to him. From the dating in secret to him being abusive. When I was done, George looked like he could kill. His hands were in fists and his neck was tensed up. Just as he was going to say something, we hear y/n sniffling.

I automatically get off the bed and rush to her side, she was crying but sleeping? George and I share looks before her crying gets even louder. George rushes to my side and we both gently try waking her up. She wakes up, tears still in her eyes and her breath staggering. I pull her into my arms before asking her what's wrong.

"He was there, it's like everything was happening all over again. All the bottles and the yelling. All the fighting, the cuts, and bruises. The hiding everything from you guys. Merlin it all came back and it felt so real. Fre-" Her voice cracks before a sob leaves her mouth. I pull her back into my embrace and George suddenly gets up off the bed. "Where are you going?" Y/n's sweet voice fills up the room. "I have something to do" George spat making y/n, making her jump. "Watch it." I spat back at him, all he did was leave the room and y/n fell back into my arms once again. Deep down inside, I couldn't help but feel like George was about to do something bad. I've never seen him so angry; he's always been the calmer twin, the one who thinks stuff out, the one who calms me down. I need to stay here with y/n but I fear what'll happen if I don't stop him.

I let y/n relax on me until she fell back asleep, gently setting her back down on the bed and pulling the covers on top of her. I quietly walk out and go downstairs to get our food. Everyone seemed to have gone to bed already and there were three plates on the table that were labeled, "Y/n's soup, Fred's mashed potatoes, George's mashed potatoes." I'm glad mum made Y/n soup instead of mashed potatoes, I have a feeling it'd take a bit of convincing to get her to eat.

I take all of the plates, some cups, a jug of water, and a blanket so we could easily eat on the floor. The food wasn't too cold so we wouldn't have to heat it up. We'd use magic if we needed it.

I got upstairs and set everything up on the floor, when I was done, I gently shook Y/n up. She seemed much more relaxed now than last time she woke up. She looked at the floor and looked back up at me with a big smile on her face. She caught me by surprise when she pulled me in for a hug, "Thank you, Fred, I seem to be saying that a lot lately but thank you." She whispers, making goosebumps run down my arms. I pull away and hold her face, I look into her eyes for a bit, "You deserve it, you've been through so much Y/n. You deserve some peace." I whisper back to her. Her contagious smile grows bigger, making mine grow bigger too. "Okay now, let's eat?" I ask with my voice still low. She nods her head and we sit down, eating our food.
