Ruining first dates

I'm sorry for making you guys mad the last two chapters, I can't lie, it was pretty funny but I hope the next two chapters make up for it! I woke up to a loud thump next to me; George fell off the bed. I couldn't help but laugh before helping him back up. It didn't sound like anyone else was awake so we headed downstairs, hoping to avoid Fred. It didn't work. There were broken cups on the floor, a chair that was missing a leg, and Fred sleeping on another chair, his head on the table.

George and I looked at each other, he was confused. "We talked last night." He just nodded his head. George begins to clean the mess up and I try waking Fred up. "Freddie, come on, wake up." I tried shaking him gently until he slowly lifted his head. He had a cut on his cheekbone and dark circles under his eyes. I grab his hand and help him up, "Let's go sit down on the sofa?" He nods his head gently, trying to not make his headache worse. "I'll make breakfast," George said and I nodded, holding Fred up and walking with him to the living room.

Sitting him down on the sofa, he pulls me into a hug. I try backing away but he just pulled me back in even closer, "Fred..." He pulls me down to sit next to him. "Don't hate me." His eyes became glossy. As angry and upset as I was with him, I couldn't see him this upset. I pull him into my arms, he melts as soon as I do. "Oh thank Merlin," Fred mumbles into my chest as he hugs me back, even tighter.

"Freddie, look at me... This doesn't mean that what you did and said didn't hurt me, and I'm still going on that date with Draco." He nods his head, placing it back on my chest, "I know I know, and I promise I'll do whatever it takes to prove how sorry I am. And go on that date with Malfoy; as much as I hate it, you deserve it." I pull his head off me again and stare into his glossy eyes.

I smile at him, "I'm glad to have my best friend back." And kiss his forehead. He doesn't say anything, just pulls me back into his arms.

The rest of the day goes on as normal. Fred and I helped George clean up the rest and went the day off as if nothing ever happened. Now, I was getting ready for my date. I curled my hair, did a bit more makeup than I normally do, and put on a cute but comfy outfit. Draco told me to meet him at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor and I did. He wasn't there yet so I just got our table already and sat down.

10 minutes and he's still not here, I order myself some ice cream, maybe he's just running late.

20 minutes, two people have asked for his seat already. Did something wrong happen?

45 minutes, the waitress told me that I had to give his chair away. I'm getting worried; but upset?

1 hour, I was forced to leave; I got stood up.

No owl, no Pansy or Blaise, he lives across the street for Godric's sake! I decided to check if he's even home. I take a 20-minute walk to their apartment and ring the doorbell. Pansy opens the door, "Oh hey Y/n! I've missed you. What's up?" I try looking up behind her to see if he even came out to check. "Uhm is Draco here?" Pansy looks behind her to see what I'm looking at, "No, he's been home all day thought. He just left a few minutes ago."

I bush my eyebrows, "Do you know where he went?" She shook her head, "No, why?" I let out a sad sigh, "We were supposed to go out, I guess. Maybe he just forgot, it's alright. See you Pans." I give her a quick hug before going back home.

The cold summer wind making me shake, I was shaking even more from anger and sadness, the tears running down my face all made it almost impossible for me to even get my keys in the lock. They fell out of my hand and I gave up, knocking abundantly on the door. As if my night couldn't get worse, Elizabeth opens the door. She gives me a nasty look and closes the door on my face. I continue knocking, louder than before, and yelling for Fred.

Fred finally opens the door with a confused face and I couldn't help but fall into his arms. He pulls me back a little to get a clear view of my face, "That Malfoy- Beth leave."

Elizabeth looks at Fred with an angry and confused face, "You're making me leave for this whor-" Fred seemed to be getting angrier and angrier, "Elizabeth, now." She leaves without another word and Fred grabs my hand to take me to my room.

He sits me down on my bed and holds me until I calm down. He looks me in the eyes, so many emotions going on inside them. "What happened?" His voice was filled with anger, I take a deep breath before explaining everything. As I keep talking, I could see his jaw clenching and his knuckled getting whiter from the force he's putting on them. "He claimed he was better than me and he stood you up?!"

I put my hand on him to try and calm him down, he relaxed at my touch and let out a deep breath. "I'm sorry Y/n, you don't deserve anything that's been happening to you recently, you know what, I promised you I'd make it up to you so that's what I'm going to do. Come on." Fred grabs my hand and practically runs outside with me.
