"Liyah" "Liyah" "Aaliyah" "AALIYAH!", someone yelled in my ear scaring me out of my thoughts. I jumped, "What?", I asked confused. I heard snickers & rolled my eyes. I looked up at my cousins all standing around me in a semi circle.

"We've been trying to bring you back to earth for 2 minutes now. What's got you all spaced out Liyah?", Ade said from beside me. I shook my head & stood up. "Nothing. So who's on who team?", I responded dusting my butt off. We're all at the park & we're having a our weekly game day. Today we're playing football & bruh, I am not looking forward to it. "Me & O team captains. You're on O's team", Josiah said tossing up the ball.

I nodded & joined my team. On our time we had Me, Omarr, Geovanni, London, & Jeremiah. On JoJo's team was Josiah, Cali, Khilee, Adriana, & Delilah. From the look on the captains' face we're about to go to war. "Let's do this shit. You bitches goin' down!", Geo yelled before getting into huddle. Omarr told us who we're holding then we all got into position.

They had already flipped a coin & JoJo won so it's their ball right now. London hiked the ball to JoJo & all hell broke loose. I jumped on Ade knocking us both to the ground & by time we got up Delilah had already scored a touchdown. "Y'all got lucky but just you wait bitch, we gone destroy that ass!", Geo commented. "Aye, bruh chill with that gay shit!", JoJo yelled. We snickered, "Nigga you would think I was being gay because i'm gay witcha ignant ass", Geo said with an attitude.

Geovanni's cool with everybody it seems except Josiah. The only reason he's not cool with him is because he always has something to say about him being gay or brings something he says back to him being gay. Sometimes it's funny but other times I feel for Geo. He's a really cool dude & doesn't bother anybody but he's always getting grief from somebody. Josiah rolled his eyes, "I call it like I see it fag", he responded. I sucked a breath & held it waiting for what what was about to happen next.

When nothing happened I sighed in relief turning & looking at Geo. He just stood there staring at Josiah with a smile on his face. Nigga, I was scared for JoJo. "Cute. You should really watch what you say to those that know your dirty little secret bae", Geo commented. JoJo narrowed his eyes at Geo. "The fuck you know?", JoJo asked.

"What they don't know bitch boi. Your life been real sus lately, huh? Wouldn't shit get really real if everybody knew. Fuck you Josiah. Unlike you I don't fucking just hurt people for nothing you insecure fucker. Call me a fag one more motherfucking time & see me come across the way & fuck you up", Geovanni yelled, smile gone now.

"You wish i'd fuck you. I ain't scared of you faggot bitch" and that was how we ended up trying to separate them. I gotta say though, it was totally Josiah's fault. He just can't seem to keep his mouth shut & now he has a bruised jaw & busted lip. This is exactly why you can't take niggas nowhere now, their ass don't know how to act.

45 minutes later...

Right now i'm in my room listening to my parents argue. They don't even know i'm home. I wonder how long this has been going on? Has it always been like this or did it just recently start? "Just drop it!", I heard my daddy yell. "No, I won't just fucking drop it Langston!", my mama yelled back.

"Man, fuck this shit! I'm not doin' this shit with you right now!", daddy yelled. "Where are you goin' Langston!?", mama yelled then I heard the front door slam closed. I picked up my phone & shot off a text to Khilee. Almost instantly I got a reply.

«Bold is Khilee & Italic is Aaliyah»

Khiller: What's wrong?

Me: Can u cum get me?

Khiller: Omw

Me: KK meet u @ da corner

Khiller: Why the corner?

Me: TYL

Khiller: kk, omw.

1 hour later...

"Are you ok?", Cali asked me. I nodded, "Yeah, I just need to clear my head", I responded. She nodded, "Or maybe you just need to talk it out with somebody", she said. I shrugged, "Maybe", I responded. She stood up, "Yeah, well when you're ready to talk let me know. I'm going to get something to eat, i'll be back", she said before leaving her room. I had started getting lost in my thoughts when I heard a beep.

I checked my phone but it wasn't me then I heard it again & saw Cali had left her's. It beeped again so I picked it up thinking it was a missed call & was about to call her when I noticed it was a text. It was too texts from the same person.

'Bae: Can we meet up?'

'Bae: Meet me at our spot @ 10'

Me bein' nosy I checked the number after reading older texts between them & it was familiar. I don't remember in who's phone I saw it besides her's but I know they know whoever her 'Bae' is. I had just put her phone back when she walked back into the room eating noodles. I was about to tell her she had some texts when her phone rung. I saw the screen & my eyes zeroed in on the contact picture. I fucking knew I knew that number from somewhere!

I jumped up & got in her face, "You bitch!", I yelled. Her eyes widened & she opened her mouth to say something but I cut her off. "Save it! How fucking could you!?", I yelled. "I can't freaking believe this shit! You're a trifling ass hoe Cali! I jus- you wrong as fuck man", I snapped before storming out the room. I can't believe she would do some shit like that. I thought she was better than that but I guess I thought wrong.
