"So we know we're gonna get our ass busted for sneaking out but", Jeremiah started. "We wanted to do something for our dads", Omarr continued. "Yeah, we wanted to let them know that", Geovanni followed up. "What they did over a decade ago wasn't forgotten", I continued. "The jerk movement will never die", Cali said. "We are the new generation", Josiah followed up.

"And we want to do a video as homage to y'all for being at the forefront of the jerk movement", Khilee said. "Sooo, we doing y'all moves again but it's us, your children & we'll make them look better", London added. "Jerking ain't dead nigga!", we all yelled. We were in the same Taco Bell they used to jerk in front of & we were ready it was almost 10 p.m. but we're on a mission so we think ass whoopin's are worth it to do this for them. We started with the 'Cat Daddy' first with the oldest kids of The Ranger$ doing it before they slid out the way & we really got to it. The Ranger$ kids did the moves from 'The Rangers Make You Feel Good.' video while I did my daddy's moves from his Marvel Inc. days in their, 'The MarvelInc: San Diego Dance Room Kill OFF!!!' video while Geo did Uncle Marques moves. We all ended the video with a reject line where we did our own thing then we threw up the west.

"How y'all think we did?", I asked. We were all at the park now chilling eating Taco Bell. "I don't know 'bout y'all but I killed", Josiah responded. I wasn't the only one to roll my eyes or smile afterwards. It felt good for us all to set aside our differences & just come together again. I mean even Khilee & Cali are being cool & it's nice.

Anyways, we're all just having a good time when I heard a clicking noise thinking nothing of it because they were taking pictures. I was posing for a picture with Omarr, Josiah, & Khilee when I noticed some dude walking towards us. I saw something silver catch the light & I screamed. It was gun & he aimed it at us. "Get down!", I yelled yanking Khi & Omarr down with me since I was between them. Everybody for down just in time before bullets went flying overhead.

I was scared. I mean I can fucking die right now. I won't ever be able t- "Lilah get up! Come on run!", I was pulled from my thoughts by a scared sounding Omarr. I looked at him blankly before he jumped up pulling me with him. I wasn't processing shit right now. All I knew was that we were running.

We hid behind a car to catch our breaths. "You ok Lilah?", Omarr painted. I nodded not really being there. He looked around before pulling me up with him & we took off running again. I heard more gunshots but I didn't dare look back. This time we just kept running without taking a break.

We ran & ran & that really scared me. We rounded a corner hiding behind a fence. Everything started crashing down on me. Why we were running, the gunshots, just everything. I started silently crying biting my lip to keep from making any sounds. I balled my hands up into fists that were shaking at my sides as we tried to catch our breaths.

Scratch being scared, i'm terrified. Omarr was peeping around the corner looking to see if anybody was out there when he tugged on my arm to get me running again. We were running across a street when we heard it. It was so loud like we were standing right there. A scream that had me freezing right in he middle of the street. I heard more gunshots but nothing was louder to me than the sound of that scream that was ringing in my ears.

I didn't hear the screeching of tires, sirens, or Omarr. I didn't see the car coming towards me in he middle of the street. I felt cold inside & my mind was running frantic trying to process everything. It wasn't working. Nothing was. How did everything go from being all good to all bad so fast? The world disappeared & so did everything else except for the blinding light coming from the car headed towards me.
