"You lied!" Geovanni is crying. He's screaming. He's scared, I know he is. I think we all are. The gunshots went off & he was texting Jerry but he never got a reply. He's having a nervous breakdown right now but we got him. Me & Liyah are right here holding him close to us.
I took his phone from him & sat it on the other side of me while we tried to calm him down. It I don't know how long it took us before he actually did calm down but right when we were going in the house Aunt Marie pulled up in the driveway. She got out the c ar looking confused. "What are y'all doing here this late?", she asked. "Where were you? We needed help & th-there ou-out there! They-he-I... I think someone's been shot", Geo was a mess. "Shot? Where's Delilah?", Aunt Marie asked speed walking up the pathway to her house.
"She's not here. We don't know where she is", I called after her making her stop at the door. She slowly turned around like I told her there was a killer behind her. "What do you mean she's not here? You're te-", she was cut off by her phone ringing. She took it out her pocket & answered without checking the caller I.D. "Delilah?... What Alex?... No you can't because she's not here... I don't know... Whatever, me-hold on... Hello?... What?... I'm coming... Yeah, I got them... We'll meet y'all there, bye... Alex?... Meet us at the hospital, one of the kids has been shot. I gotta go, bye", she said her voice getting lower & lower until it was a whisper before hanging up. Geo & Liyah were hugging each other while I hug myself.
Now I was getting really scared. Who got shot? Was is one of the girls or the boys? Was it my brother? I can't lose my brother. He's all I have aside from my parents. Sure they love me & whatever but they could never fill the void that Omarr fills inside me. Most of all, are they still alive?
We all got in the car after locking the doors back & rode off to the hospital. It was tense in the car & everybody was in their own little world. In my mind were going to get told that they didn't make it. That whoever was shooting at us won because we all didn't make it like we all had hoped. It was all over.
