Leonardo
Destiny sits in the bathroom, staring at the test in her hand. Outside, she can hear the other girls going over last minute plans for Michelangelo and Annalise's upcoming wedding and what should happen afterwards with returning to everyday lives.
"I think that we should all keep living here," Sarina's voice inputs. "It's big, comfortable, and with some renovations we could definitely make it more spacious."
"Not a bad idea, Sarina," Taylor comments.
Destiny leans back against the wall, shutting her eyes and sending a silent prayer of strength up to whoever is watching over them, be it God or someone else. It's been four months of being blissfully married to the love of her life...and now this; the nearly impossible becoming possible.
She stands up, smoothing down her shirt. Her hand lingers over her lower stomach for a mere second before she pulls it away and lets it drop to her side.
Deep breaths, Destiny. Deep breaths, she tells herself.
She moves out of the bathroom, pressing the test against her thigh and hiding it from view. She smiles to the other girls when she passes them, but her mind is focused only on Leonardo.
She finds him in the dojo with his brothers, getting in some training time. She watches for a moment as they finish up their sparring matches, then enters the room. Master Splinter is the first to notice her arrival.
"Father, could I steal Leo for a moment?" she asks timidly.
He father-in-law nods in approval. "You may," he says. His wizened gaze travels to his eldest son. "Leonardo?"
Leo gets up and heads towards his wife, giving her lips a quick peck as she takes his hand with her free one and tugs him away. He doesn't question her, albeit he's confused by her behaviour as they head to their bedroom.
"What's up?" he asks once they get inside the room.
"I have news...it's big," she whispers, seating herself on the bed.
He raises an eye-ridge. "How big?"
"Well..." She takes a deep breath. "I'm going to be blunt. I'm pregnant."
His eyes widen. "Wait...you're...you're really...?"
"Look at the proof," she offers, holding the test out to him.
He stares at the little + sign, astonished. Everything Donatello and Sarina told them before they got married replays in his mind, spurring his denial of this event. They said that at most there was a minor possibility, but this...
"Are you sure?" he asks.
"There's three more tests in the bathroom. All of them are positive." She smiles, tears welling in her eyes. "Leo..."
"I'm...I'm gonna be a father..." he whispers. He grins and hugs her, burying his face in her neck. "I'm gonna be a father."
Raphael
Taylor paces back and forth, spinning to look at her bed every now then, where the glaring truth is staring her in the face. It's been a few months since Michelangelo and Annalise's wedding, and married life has been great for everyone inside the lair, especially after Destiny announced that she had actually managed to get pregnant.
One miracle has become two, Taylor thinks, her hazel eyes flickering to the bed again.
She feels more guilt than excitement right now. Raphael didn't believe that it was possible for them to even have kids, but that resulted in them leaving protection out of the question once or twice. The red-masked turtle said it himself that he didn't want kids right now. He wanted to give it more thought.
