The shell baby monitor beside the bed goes off, and Leonardo opens his eyes sleepily. Beside him, Destiny doesn't stir. He smiles lightly, giving her a hug and kissing her forehead before getting up.

When he gets to the nursery, he finds Dean holding Venus carefully. Her little green hands hold onto his tail tightly, her big green eyes wide with wonder. He looks back at her with a sort of curiosity in his own eyes.

Leo smiles a tiny bit as the wolf-raven looks up, his tail wagging as Venus closes her eyes again.

"Hey dad," he whispers. "I don't think she likes being alone."

"You didn't have to get up and worry about her," Leo says. "That's the parents' job."

Dean smiles, showing off his fangs. "I've been sleeping in here already. Every time she cries I get up and tell her stories until she falls asleep. I think she likes Doctor Who already."

Leo blinks a few times, amazed. What seven year old wants to get up in the wee hours of morning, much less to look after a baby?

"Get some sleep, dad. Vennie and I are all good." Dean yawns, setting the little turtle girl back in her crib.

She yawns and curls up, sleeping soundly. Dean lays down on his cushion beside the crib, wrapping a Space Heroes blanket around himself. Leo kneels down, kissing his son's forehead, then getting up and kissing his daughter's little forehead.

"Goodnight, my angels."

As he leaves, he hears Dean murmuring to Venus, his soft voice carrying in the quiet lair.

"And then, the Doctor pulls out his sonic screwdriver. It's not an ordinary screwdriver. It's much..." He yawns. "Much much better. Those Slitheen don't stand a chance against a Time Lord..."

Leo can't help but smile.
