CXLV. How Did You Meet?

Six years old and the Hamato children want to know; how did their parents meet?

Leonardo

"Um...well..." Destiny starts. "We were both fifteen..."

Leonardo glances at his wife as a coy smile plays across his lips. "I saw her snatching pizza out of a moving scooter, so we followed her to her hideout, talked, and went our separate ways."

"Then I got attacked by the Foot Clan and your dad saved me...with the help of your uncles."

"She was too pretty to leave behind."

"Oh shush, I'm completely average."

"Not to me."

Dean grimaces as his dad steals a kiss from his mom. He covers his eyes with his wings as he pokes his tongue out.

"Ewwwww..." he complains.

Raphael

Raphael lets out a nervous chuckle. "Uh...funny story..."

"I was robbing a bank and he tried to stop me, so I kicked him in the face," Taylor says.

He sighs, admitting to the embarrassing story. "Then I heard her singing on a rooftop and she hooked me in...like a mouse with a cat."

Copeland frowns. "So a guy will love you if you kick him in the face?"

"No, just your dad. He has a thing for girls who can kick his shell every now and then," Taylor says with a flirtatious wink at her husband.

Copeland giggles. "Daddy got his shell kicked..."

"Shush. That was the past," he grumbles.

Donatello

"Oh, now that's quite the story," Donatello says.

"I was in TCRI. I had no emotions and was called Subject 60184," Sarina adds.

"We were sixteen. Your Auntie Destiny and I went on a retrieval mission to find Uncle Mikey's phone."

"He was still trying to get over his crush on Auntie April."

"But then we found your mom, set her free, and we decided to teach her emotions."

"And somehow, through all those crazy lessons..."

"She learned how to love."

Dakota and Asher let out long sighs.

"Aw, that's so cute," Asher coos.

"I want that one day," Dakota agrees.

Michelangelo

"You'll love this, little dude," Michelangelo says. "So, your mom used to be BIG on YouTube, and I was her biggest fan."

"He was," Annalise agrees. "I was feeling sad, and I replied to some of his comments."

"Best day of my life." He laughs. "So after I was thinking about her responses, Uncle Raph and I got into a fight in Central Park. He was all sad and broody 'cause Auntie Taylor had a new boyfriend."

"I heard them fighting while I was walking pre-mutant Pepper, and then Auntie Destiny knocked me out."

"From then on, I wooed her with my charm and good looks."

Annalise giggles as Mikey winks at her. Mitch nibbles on a slice of pizza, thinks over their words, and nods.

"Seems legit," he says.
