Calikit waked up, colder than usual. It was a moon since Nightkit said those things, and Nightkit had thankfully ignored Shallowkit since, but Silverkit was growing closer to Shallowkit with every heart-beat. Calikit was worried she would turn out like him. Silverkit had already started ignoring her. Your loss. Calikit thought. She stretched in the thin leaf-bare air. Something was wrong. Her nest was damp. Had it rained last night? Calkit peeked outside of the nursery, and to her surprise she saw a thick layer of white. "Foxtrot!" She yowled. Her mother came up to her, and then saw the blanket of white covering the ground. " Oh my!" Foxtrot exclaimed. "What is it?" Calikit asked nervously. "Is it bad?" "No! It's snow!" Foxtrot laughed. "Snow! I thought that was a story Oceankit made up!" Her suprised yowl made Oceankit awake, and the rest of the nursery began to stir. Oceankit padded up to her. "Snow!" She exclaimed. "Let's go play!" And with that she bounded away, and Chirpkit appeared in her place. " What is that?" She asked, her eyes widening. "Snow!" Calikit exclaimed as Stormkit came up. "Come on, let's go play with Oceankit!" They went outside, the snow leaving their pawprints stamped in the snow. "So, haw do we play in this stuff? I see no leaves, moss, or feathers!" Chirpkit exclaimed, turning a pawful of snow in her paws. " Like this!" Oceankit flipped a pawful of snow at Chirpkit, and Chirpkit squealed at the sudden blast of snow. " PineClan, attack!" Calikit declared, throwing snow at Oceankit. Stormkit and Chipkit joined in, and soon all the kits where all over thye camp. " Chirpkit, come help me finish her off!" CAlikit yowled, flicking her tail to the half-buried Oceankit. "Coming!" Chirpkit bounded over from the other side of the clearing. Half-way across, the snow split from under her. Chirpkit squealed with suprise as she fell in, and more snow fell in as well, covering her. "Chirpkit!" Stormkit wailed, racing over to the place where she had disappeared. Calikit sonn joined him, frantically pushing snow away. " Help!" Calikit wailed. "Anyone!" A flash of brown fur caught her eye. Help! She thought in relief. She turned around, beginning to ask for help. But instead, she froze, her mouth hanging open. It was Acornpelt. And he wasn't helping. He was smiling.
