Jordan's Point Of View

The Weekend - SZA

The next morning, I was woken up by Jacob gently whispering to me to wake up. And so I did, went to the bathroom and cleaned up, and brushed my teeth. Later I was standing in front of my closet, hunting it for clothes. When I was done there, I went down for breakfast and while we were at it, Jacob told me to think about what he said and it'd be my own fault if I get hurt, just know that he'll do anything to protect me. Within a hour, I strolled down the hallway to my locker with Morgan.

"Okay so, you don't wanna do any of this anymore?" she after I told her about last night's happenings.

"I don't know" I whined and leaned with my head in locker.

"If I were you, I'd drop everything right here and move over his ass" she advised me, "I mean, he wanted to have sex without even being in a solid relationship with yo-, oh, here comes Maddie" and I pulled my head from my locker and turned to face her.

"Hi Jordan, hi Morgan" Maddie greeted both of us, but we just stared at her.

"Okay, I don't wanna be a burden in your relationship, but I f-" I interrupted her by saying that Caleb and I weren't in a relationship.

"Still, you two are pretty close and I feel like I should tell you that, he came over last night and we had sex" she announced as she got her phone out of her pocket and showed me a video, or, if you will, their sextape. As I stared at the screen, my emotions was all over the place. I didn't if I should cry; or feel happy cause he didn't cheat on me, cause we're not together; or just break down cause he was just using me for sexual attention and played with my feels. "Sorry, I have to go" I then dashed off, back to the exit and when I opened the door to escape, I ran someone off their feet, causing him to fall five meters back from where he stood. I quickly apologized and ran, full speed, home. When I arrived, my face was soaking wet from my tears and even though I tried to hide it from Jacob, cause he was in the driveway, he grabbed me by my arm and asked why I was crying and why weren't I at school. I loosened my arm with a hard tug and went inside, directly to my room.

6 Hours Later

"Hey, I have a couple of friends from over" announced Jacob as he slowly opened my room's door, "You wanna join us?"

"Who are they?" I mumbled, after I had woken up from my nap.

"Luke; Zach; Chris and Jace" he listed.

"I think...I'll be down in a few" I then said as I climbed of my bed and went to the bathroom.

"Okay, we'll be in the kitchen" was his last word and he excused himself. As I freshened, emptied, myself, I noticed that the temperature had dropped a little, since I fell asleep. So after washing my hands, I rinsed my face and then went back to my room to put on a sweatshirt. Then I was on my way downstairs and found them sitting around the dinner table, laughing at each other's jokes and making fun of each other. Without notifying any of them, I entered the kitchen and poured myself a glass of orange juice.

"Hey, we were just waiting for you" I suddenly heard, "We're about to go to the store and then we'll have a little barbecue" he then announced as he swung his car keys around his index finger.

"Well let's go" I said and gulped down my juice as if it was a shot of vodka. Everyone then exited the house and walked towards Jacob's car. And just as I reached for the backdoor, Luke gladly gave me the passenger seat. On our way there, I enjoyed the rife there with my head leaned on my window and listening to the guys' conversation.

When we've finally returned with a bunch of meat; marshmallows; chocolates and drinks, my mood was suddenly fucked up when I recognized the car in our driveway, which was of course Caleb's car. When we climbed our of the car, I tried my best to avoid him and ignore his questions by dashing off to the front door, by he just followed me. He kept on asking what I wasn't in school and why I've been ignoring his messages, then, maybe because of my facial expression, Jacob thought that it would be best of he interfered.

"Caleb, I don't know what happened but, it clearly seems like JJ doesn't wanna talk to you, so I think it would be better if you leave" Jacob said.

"What? I did nothing wrong" Caleb frowned in confusion and because of that, I exploded.

"Nothing wrong?" I spoke up, "Caleb, I've had strong feelings for you for the longest time. Going on a date with you was the best thing that has ever happened to me, then after the second date, you went straight to your ex's house and had sex with her. Yes, Maddie told me everything" Then he was just starring at me, "It did hurt me though, a lot actually. But the only good that came from all of this, is that we were never official so you didn't cheat on me, and don't worry, I'm not mad. Just know, whatever we had going on, I'm done, I'm done with you"

The room was silent.

"Get the fuck out" Jacob demanded

Caleb slowly turned in devastation and sorrow, and walked back to the door. We all stared at him from behind as he reached for the doorknob; opened the door; looked back at me and said he was sorry, then left.
