Caleb's Point Of View
I'm Not Okay - H.E.R
"Are you okay Caleb?" my mom broke the silence around the table, "You've been quiet ever since you've woken up. Actually, since last night"
"He's probably going through some nervous breakdown for tonight's game" my dad said as he slapped my shoulder.
"That can't be it" my mom disagreed with concern, "Honey, are you not feeling well? We can go to the doctor's office before you go to school" she suggested and picked up her phone, ready to call Dr June. If you're wondering, after my very emotional and embarrassing encounter with Jordan, I've been torn into little pieces. Not because he hurt me, but because of my own faults, which hurt the one I truly love. The night was long and very lonely, especially the fact that I usually spend hours of texting with Jordan, but that didn't happen that night. And I couldn't sleep. I tried watching TV but that didn't help at all.
"No, that's not necessary mom" I finally spoke, "It's just, remember the boy who tutored me a few days ago?" I mumbled and they nodded. "Well, I actually started to gain strong feelings for him, and we went on a date. The second date, we baked cupcakes and watched movies. His brother walked in on us, and when I left, I drove straight to Maddie's house" I announced to them.
"And...?"
"His feelings are hurt and now, he's pushing me away" I mumbled
"Honey, of course his feelings are hurt cause it seemed like you used him" my mom said.
"Son, you're gay?" my dad suddenly asked, "And what did I tell you about Madeline? She's toxic to your future" he grinded on his teeth.
"I have to get ready for school" I excused myself from the table and went back upstairs to my room to shower.

Finally I was finished and without greeting my parents, I rushed towards the door and then to the driveway. Before completing my drive to school, I first picked up a cup of ice coffee from Starbucks, just to boost my mood a little bit. When I arrived, the whole football team was waiting for me in the parking lot. After I parked my car and got my bag from the backseat, I climbed out and strolled towards the entrance doors, having no interest in they're were so excited about or who which cheerleader they were gonna fuck after the game. As I entered the hallway, my eyes first met a sight of Jordan standing by his locker, talking and laughing with Morgan and M. And even though I liked seeing him happy, it was also devastating to know that he was happy without me.
"Hey" I suddenly heard him calling for me. I turned around and found him standing right in front of me.
"Hey...you" I muttered, feeling a little bit happy that he was talking to me.
"Look, I know I've said some things that probably hurt you and I hope you can forgive me for it-"
"Of course" I said
"I wasn't finished, as I was saying, I have no reason to be mad at you, besides you playing with my feelings, we weren't together so, you didn't cheat. It's clear that you're not ove-" he said before I interrupted him.
"JJ, I am over her. That night was a complete mistake and you have no idea how sorry I am" I assured him.
"I know you are, and I one hundred percent forgive you for doing what you did but, it's also clear that we'll never be what we thought we could be, or what I thought" he murmured.
"Please let me make it up to you" I pleaded.
"Seriously?" he asked confused and doubtful.
"Yeah" I said and he gave me a chance, "You'll come to tonight's game right?"
"Yeah, Morgan will murder me if I don't so, yeah" he nodded.
And then the bell rang and everyone started retreating to their classes, cause our school was a bit strict on late comers.
"I'll see you tonight then" I said as I began backing away from him, "Again I'm really sorry" All he did was stare at me with a smug grin and a tilted head.

Hours and hours of school went by and, it was finally time to go home. And by that, I mean, time to go home for the non football players. Getting my tan on in the still standing sun and completing the couch's extreme exercise course. Later, I was at home with Derick; Nathan; Sam and Paul, destroying our home gym, just look a little pumped and muscular on the field.
"So, what's your idea with Jordan tonight?" asked Sam.
"What's my plan or my idea?" I asked confused, feeling out of breath and sweaty from the bench presses we completed.
"Your plan"
"Mall" I hissed.
"You're gonna take him shopping?" asked Paul.
"No, we're all going to eat out and then we'll be in the arcade" shrugged Nathan and i nodded in agreement.
"But, we'll be apart from you guys" I announced and left them all staring at me in shock. Then they kept going on about how we used to do things together, but since I was trying to get someone to be part of my life, a real partner, I thought it would be best if we have a night to our selves.
"Look, I'm just trying to have the best night with him, okay?" I sighed in annoyance and a little frustration.
"Sure" they agreed.
"Finish up, still gave a few things to do before I get ready for the game and I still need to get you guys home" I muttered as I started with some random push-ups. I don't where I got the energy from but, it felt like that night was going to be an one and I couldn't wait for it to arrive.
