"~CHOKE ME LIKE YOU HATE ME BUT YOU LOVE ME!~"
"~LOW KEY WANNA DATE ME WHEN YOU FUCK ME!~"
"~TOUCH ME WITH THE LIGHTS OFF AND MY CHAINS ON!~"
"~BABY, I'M NOT THE RIGHT ONE YOU SHOULD WAIT ON!~"
Melody and I fall back in laughter at our poor impression of CORPSE Husband.
"I love that song," I say through my giggles.
"I love it 'cause you love it," Melody says. I only giggle more at her adorableness. We decided to take the night off since my parents are having a date night so it's just me and Melody.
"Hey," she says after a moment of silence between us. E-GIRLS ARE RUINING MY LIFE still playing in the background. "How's Guardian training going?"
I chuckle. "You're there with me," I remind her. "You should already know."
She sighs. "I mean how are you," she corrects as she cuddles into my neck. "I know what the lessons are but I wanna know how you're handling it all. Those translations are hard to swallow."
I smile softly at her concern. "I'm doing okay," I assure her. "A little overwhelmed, maybe. But I'm fine, honest."
Head Above Water by Avril Lavigne starts playing. Heh, great timing. The song plays as I make my way to the bed and cuddle in with Melody on my neck - her favourite spot. We cuddle for a while before I realize that Melody isn't humming along like normal.
"Is there something bothering you," I ask. "You're unusually quiet."
She sighs. "It's Nooroo's 3500th cycle, and he has to celebrate it all by himself," she sulks. Nooroo, that's Hawkmoth's kwami. Poor guy, I can't even imagine what Hawkmoth puts him through. "He and I were close before he was lost."
I smile sadly and hopefully. "We'll free him one of these days," I tell her. "It's only a matter of time."
"There may be a faster solution," she tells me. I tilt my head curiously as she continues. "Kwami's are able to communicate with their kind on their cycle or birthday. But we won't get another opportunity for a long time since a kwami's cycle is equivalent to several hundreds of human years."
"Woah..." I utter out. "Well, that means you can contact him! How would you do that?" I ask.
"We kwamis have to gather in the Miraculous Box at a specific time," she says.
"What's time is that?" I ask.
She looks away nervously. "Tonight," she says quietly.
I look at her in disbelief. "Then what are you doing here?" I ask, making her head whip back to face me. "If this is your only chance for a while then you should be there. This is our chance to find Nooroo."
"But Master Fu doesn't want us to leave our holder's sides," She says.
I smile. "It's okay," I assure her. "Nooroo is more important right now."
She flies up and hugs my cheek super tight. "Thank you, Y/N!"
I tilt my head as I throw on a hoodie and some sweats. "Is there a plan?"
"Well, Plagg, Tikki, and I would go into the Miraculous Box while Wayzz kept watch in case an Akuma showed up."
"That's a great idea!" I praise. "There's no risk if Wayzz is keeping watch."
