My god, today was an eventful day. I did actually get some gummies from the pharmacy today. I haven't taken any though. I'll save them for when I'm really really stressed out. My parents know that I have them so it's all good. They know how stressed out I can get at times.
I look at the clock. 9:25. Mari should be here any second. She texted me saying she'd be here. I told Adrien to be here around midnight to make sure the two don't collide.
I'm just laying on my bed, thinking about my place and purpose on this planet, you know, the usual.
My conspiratorial thinking is interrupted by a knock on my window. I look up to see a red superhero staring back at me. I give her a smile and climb up to my trapdoor. I open it up for her and she jumps in. She looks nervous. I'm about to ask her when she detransforms making me blind for a few seconds. Before my sight comes back I feel something soft on my lips. I don't need to open my eyes to know that Mari is kissing me.
Before I even have the chance to kiss her back she pulls away. Her face is such a dark shade of red I can barely see her face in this lighting. I blush slightly too. I don't really know what to say.
"Sorry," Mari squeaks out. I tilt my head to the side a bit.
"For what?"
"For kissing you," she says. "I just...," she mumbles the last bit so I miss what she says. Her face hasn't changed from it beet red shade since she stopped kissing me.
"It's okay," I tell her. "It was good." She smiles at this.
"Soooooo..." I say giving her a look. Her bluebell eyes widen in worry. "Am I a good kisser?"
She stiffens. Oh, this should be good. "Well, um. I mean- I think..." She struggles to get her words organized. "Yes," She wrings her hands together nervously. "I think you're a good kisser."
"Hell yeah! You looked like you were enjoying that in the video," I tease. "The whole situation was weird."
"Oh, haha, yeah..." Her knuckles are growing white from the wringing. "When Chat kissed you, instead of your lips turning back to normal they faded to a grey colour." I nod. "I thought that was weird."
"Yeah, I actually remember everything that happened," I tell her. Her eyes widen in shock."
"What? How?" She approaches me worriedly. "Everyone else that was hit said they didn't remember anything."
I shrug then sit on my bed, "I have no idea." I think back to all the times I was injured during an Akuma fight. Mari sits down next to me. My mind is spiralling into memories of the Miraculous Cure not even working on me. Everyone's injuries due to Akuma attacks are healed by the Cure but mine always stay. I don't wanna worry Mari about this, she'll freak. "Maybe I'm just special. Some magic doesn't work on me."
She still looks a bit worried but she giggles. "Yes, you are definitely special, Y/N." Um okay...
I need to move this conversation away from me... "Hey, Mari." She turns her head to me. "Tell me more about the Miraculous, I'm curious as to how it works." She smiles, beckons Tikki and the next half-hour or so is filled with Mari and Tikki explaining magic to me.
Our conversation somehow moved to our lives. The following hour, we talk about the crazy day we had, how life was before she was a superhero, how (hometown) was for me and my friends there. It was fun. It ended too soon though. Mari has to go back home before her parents get suspicious. I bid her adieu with a big hug, putting as much love and affection as I can into it.
She transforms back - not before Tikki gives me a massive hug - then swings out the window. I can't help but think about her. She's so smart, so sweet, so caring. God, I love her. She's so awesome!
