Hello, my lovelies! Just need to put the warning here: there is a lemon at the end. My first ever lemon (the first one I've written, not read because if I have to admit, I've read a lot of lemons and smut) so fair warning in advance. If you don't wanna read it, there's a warning before it so you can skip. Or if your a horny bitch like me just go straight there.
Anyway, hope y'all enjoy this chapter!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Our sabres clashed. I parry, he counter-parries and I counter his counter-parry. This has been going on for nearly five minutes now. We're evenly matched. I'm just naturally talented in all things athletic and Adrien has been doing this for a long time; I'm surprised I've lasted this long, to be completely honest. I've almost nailed him in his white-uniformed chest at least ten times now. I've been dodging so many attacks I'm afraid everyone can see the pit stains on my red, yellow, blue and black accented uniform. Yes, I paid for a custom fencing uniform that has the same colours my super suit; it's not like anyone is gonna recognize me anyway, magic and stupidity takes care of that.
Adrien takes a step forward jabbing his sabre towards my chest. I Matrix it (TM) and land with my back arched on my knees. Bouncing my downwards momentum up, I spring back to meet his attack. I push him back and do a back walkover so I can regain my footing. D'Argencourt, the fencing teacher, was wide-eyed when I first did gymnastics to avoid attacks. I asked if I broke a rule but he simply said 'I have never had a student who could do that, nor heard of a rule saying you can't', so I continued to be a fencing-gymnast.
Rounding the ten-minute mark, now. God, I'm just gonna end this. I wait for him to attack. Instead of doing the expected parry, I dodge the sabre then lock mine with his. I force the sword from his hands then stab his chest.
I win.
The whole room erupted with cheers. I've been kicking everyone's ass for the past hour. D'Argencourt wanted to start with a small game of king's court today. The kids who have been here for a few years were not at all happy that they were beaten by me. One kid with blue seams on his uniform keeps saying that I'm cheating but the rule book never mentions I can't do any of the stuff I do, so D'Argencourt allows and is impressed by it. I love rubbing it in Blue Seams' face.
"Good game, Y/N," Adrien says holding his hand out, helmet lifted.
I return the gesture without removing my helmet. Adrien and D'Argencourt are the only ones that know I'm a girl. The secret is stupid but I would like to see the looks on the boys' faces when they see me for the first time. "Maybe next time you'll get me," I tease.
He rolls his eyes. "I let you push my sword away," he whines in a playful tone.
"Oh, yeah, sure," I say, mockery lacing my words while my head mimics a bobble-head and my eyes roll.
He just laughs then throws an arm around my shoulders. I lean in close to him to return the hug. Lately, Adrien and I have gotten closer. Like, physically closer. At any time during the day, there's always a fist connecting with shoulder, a hand messing hair, or an arm draped across shoulders. When the five of us - Adrien, Mari, Alya, Nino, and I - all hang out for a movie night or something, Mari is always curled up in my arms while Adrien and I's feet play footsies. Our touching isn't romantic, more platonic and sibling-like I guess. And to be completely frank, I wouldn't have it any other way. The kid needs physical touch to feel loved, so that's what I give him. As soon as I get him someone to date, then I'm assuming he'll be mega physical with them rather than me. I need to get this kid a girl- or boyfriend. I haven't asked if he swings both ways but I'm gonna keep his options open anyway.
