The first day of school and I have already befriended the entire class. Yay me! Mari and Nino are still bugging me and Alya about the joke I made yesterday. Alya and I refuse to tell them to spare their innocence. I am happy I have someone to make dirty jokes with. Anyway, walking into the classroom I see Alya, Chloe, Sabrina, Rose, Juleka, and Nino all sitting in their same spot as yesterday. The teacher walks in as I sit next to Nino.
"Good morning everyone!" Ms. Bustier greets, "I have decided to arrange a seating plan so we can all meet new people this year." The whole class groans at this. It's not that I don't hate seating plans, I just hope I don't get stuck with nose picker like last time.
"Okay, so here is the new seating plan:"
Nino+Adrien Chloe+Sabrina
Alya+Mari Y/N+Alix
Ivan+Kim Mylene+Max
Rose+Juleka Nathaniel
Nino and I move to our new places. Nino is sitting up front, and I'm with Alix. The class progresses like normal, it was English so Ms. Bustier was explaining the stories we will be reading this year. I can't wait for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. I'm not so much into the main characters, more so Mercutio. He's a very interesting character. Also, the whole tragic love thing Romeo and Juliet share is very stupid and ironic; I love it! The bell goes and so does Ivan's temper.
"KIIIIIMMMM!!" Ivan, a big dude with a brown buzzcut and a blond tuft on his forehead, yells. He is definitely a metalhead. I already like this guy.
"Ivan, what is going on?" Ms. Bustier questions.
"It's Kim!" Ivan explains, "Oh I'm gonna get-"
"Ivan! Go to the principal's office." Ms. Bustier orders.
Yikes, poor Ivan. Chloe and Sabrina are giggling at him. Ivan crumples up a piece of paper in his hand and stomps out of the classroom.
I go to the library with Alya and Mari. I pull out a copy of Romeo and Juliet and begin reading. A few minutes later the three of us fall off our seats when the ground shakes. I didn't know there were earthquakes in Paris. Alya grabs me and Mari and drags us to a TV in the library. Why is there a TV in the library? It showed a giant stone being shouting "KIIIIMMMM!" Oh look, Ivan's on TV. WAIT, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO HIM!?!?!
"Wha- what's going on? He had Ivan's voice?" Mari says.
"It's as if he's been transformed into a real-life supervillain!" Alya realizes. She pulled out her phone and begins listing things, "GPS, check. Battery, check. I am SO outta here!" She rushes out of the library.
"Hey! Where are you going?" I ask worriedly.
"Where there's a supervillain there's always a superhero close behind. No way I'm missing this!" Alya explains before pushing the door open and sprinting out. Mari and I glance back at the TV to see the Ivan throwing a car at the camera. Oh no, this is bad. Mari runs back to her house and I to mine.
When I get home, my dad's arms engulf me. He begins muttering things like he is so happy that I'm safe and such. I escape his grip and run to the couch, flipping to the news.
"As incredible as it seems, it appears that Paris is indeed being attacked by a supervillain." The news anchor, Nadja Chamack says. "The police have been struggling to keep the situation under control."
The camera switches to an officer assuring people that they will stop the monster. Shit, this is bad. Thank god Ivan is far away from my house right now.
