Y/n L/n groaned, pushing her pillow against her ear to muffle the annoying tap against her window. She was going to get that woodpecker one day but 'tis not the time-

Y/n shot out of bed, hair disheveled with an irritated look on her face and bat in hand. She didn't care if it was against the law, she was getting that bird today.

The 16 year old slid open her window, the sun was barely rising. Why did that stupid fucker have to wake her up so early- huh?

"Zach?" Y/n put down her bat, confusion written all over her face. On her roof, which was infront of her window, stood Zach Mitchell in his a black hoodie and a pair of grey sweats.

Y/n opened her window wider and let him in.

"What are you doing here, smartass?" The h/c girl asked him, sitting down on her unkempt bed but she could care less.

The teen standing infront of her has seen her in much worse state. Much. Worse.

"How are you already this snarky in the morning?" Zach asked, a teasing smile playing on his lips. Y/n rolled her eyes, "What'd you want dude?" She asked.

Zach jokingly clutched at his heart, "So, you don't want to see me?" He grinned. Y/n rolled her eyes at him, "Yeah, no. Just get on with it, Zachary."

Zach chuckled, "Here." He handed her his phone. Y/n unlocked his phone to be met with a picture of his face.

She fake-gagged but proceeded to the messages between him and, "Claire?" Y/n faced Zach in surprise. The teen nodded with a smile.

"Read it." Zach encouraged, pointing to the bottom message. The message read:

Aunt Claire: "Hey Zach, hope you and Gray are doing fine, as well as Y/n. Why don't you, your brother and N/n come along to visit the park for the week? You'll love it here. And I've spoken to your mom already so you have the pass. Can't wait to see you again, bud! Hope you accept the offer."

Zach's reply read: "We'll see you soon, Claire."

Y/n's eyes grew in size, she was wide awake now. Zach laughed at her reaction, knowing she would be excited.

"Seriously! Oh my God! Gray must be flipping out." She smiled widely, throwing her arms around him for a hug.

Zach returned her hug, his smile never leaving his face.

"Oh, he is. He's already packing." Zach revealed causing the girl to shake her head in disbelief. "I can't believe it, we're going to Jurassic World!"

Y/n was a dinosaur fanatic herself when she was a young girl. She may or may not have passed her zeal for dinosaurs to Gray.

The girl pulled away from the hug, flattening down her messy hair. Zach then got a notification from his girlfriend, Kelly.

Y/n sighed when Kelly's name popped up on his phone. She nibbled on her bottom lip to stop herself from showing any hint of her dislike to their relationship.

'You should be happy for him, N/n. Don't.' Y/n scolded herself.

Then she was reminded of something, "Is Kelly coming along?" Y/n asked, supporting her body with elbows as she leaned back against her bed.

Zach shook his head, "Uh.. nope. We've uh.. we've broken up." He admitted, that revelation made her heart skip a beat.

"When? I thought you told me that "she is the one"." Y/n quoted him, confused by this revelation.

Zach sighed, "Look, Kelly's sweet.. just too.. clingy." Zach explained, clearing his throat as he fiddled with his phone.

Y/n nodded in understanding, "Well, maybe you'll find "the one" at the park." She teased, nudging him.

Zach smiled, his eyes glistening as he met hers, "Maybe. Anyways, that's not all I came here for." He shoved his phone in her hands abruptly before standing up.

"You'll do the breaking up for me, thanks N/n!" The brunette exited her room through her window and rushed off.

Y/n gasped, "Zachary Mitchell! You jerk!" She called out from her window at the boy sprinting down the street with her own phone.

She didn't even know how he got ahold of her precious. The girl sat on her bed with slumped shoulders, having to text Kelly herself for Zach.

Y/n couldn't do anything either since he could do the same to her phone. She was regretting exchanging passwords with him.

'Asshat.'

She cursed him before typing out what she assumed would be a good breakup text to end on good terms.

Even though she hated him at that moment, she couldn't wait to go to the park with the idiot she called her bestfriend and his younger brother.

Jurassic World.. Paradise.
