Chapter 10

~Normal P.O.V~

I sat comfortably on Albert's shoulder as Erwin told everyone the situation. There were multiple gasps and shocked expressions throughout the group, I even saw a couple excited ones.(Because I am from the 'future') I turned and looked at Albert, who was currently looking really frightened. Confused, I looked in the direction he was looking to find out.

'Uhh....that's a little creepy' I inwardly grimaced at the sight. Hanji was staring up at Albert with a dreamy look in her eyes, and a bit of drool hanging out of her mouth. The sight was slightly awkward, and I could see that Albert was extremely uncomfortable.

I pat my hand on Albert's shoulder to gain his attention. He turned and I gave him a slight smile."Are you okay? You kinda have an admirer over there" I said, motioning towards Hanji, who now had a slight blush creep it's way onto her face.'I don't even want to know what she's thinking about' I inwardly frowned. Albert answered my previous question with a slight shrug, being careful not to make me fall off of his shoulder.

"Zoey, could you come here a second please?" I heard Erwin's voice call up to me. I nodded and Albert let my down. I walked up to him and asked."What is it?" "Well, since you are here, we want to see if you are fit to be a soldier" He replied."So, I'm going to be using 3DMG and sparring?" I clarified."Yes" He nodded.

'I have always wanted to use 3DMG!' I thought, extremely excited. My face suddenly fell when a thought entered my mind.'Will I fight titans? Am I cut out to even be a soldier? What if I fail? What will they do with me? Will they throw me in the Underground? From the anime, the underground looks like a pretty scary place!' I panicked.

"Don't worry Zoey, I know you'll do just fine" Erwin reassured me, patting my shoulder and sending a smile my way. I sheepishly smiled back."I hope so.."
