A Wish (An Attack On Titan Fanfiction)

Chapter 1

~Zoey's P.O.V~

A bell rang signaling the end of school. I sighed in relief when I realised that I didn't have homework, and even better, it was Friday! I had the whole weekend to mess around with anime! I inwardly squealed as I grabbed my bags and made my way outside.'I might just read 'Shingeki no Kyojin' again' I mused. It would be my third time reading the manga.

I happily walked home until I abruptly stopped right in front of the door.'Uh-oh' I thought. This is the only reason I don't like coming home, my parents. My dad was abusive and my mom drank, a lot. When she is drunk, she helps my dad beat me up. They hate me with a passion, why they hate me, i'll never know.

I slipped inside and bolted for my room. I didn't want a beating tonight, tonight was supposed to be a good night. I stopped running and tip-toed by my parent room and went into mine. I read 'Shingeki no Kyojin' manga until 10:30pm. I realized that I haven't eaten anything since lunch at school.'I'll just have a big breakfast' I decided, and put the manga down on my bed.

As I was about to change to go to bed, my dad barged in. He looked drunk, then I saw my mother stumble in after him.'Yep, they're drunk' I concluded. He stomped over to me and clenched his fist.'Oh no, please, no!' I inwardly pleaded, tears forming in my eyes. My mother saw the tears and laughed "Aw, honey look at her, she's crying. She's so weak that she doesn't even fight us off anymore!" she slurred. My father chuckled and brought his fist against my chin, effectively making me bite my tounge quite harshly. It was to the point where it was a tad swollen and bleeding, I know because I could taste the almost metal taste of the crimson liquid in my mouth.

I glanced up at my dad as he raised his leg and smashed it down onto my abdomen. I gasped in pain and my hands shot down to the affected area. I clutched my stomach as my parents glared down at me."You were and still are the worst mistake of our lives" My father growled as he grabbed my mother's hand and left my room.
