Chapter 23

I woke up to a noise. It sounded like scratching or pawing.. I was really confused. I got out of the bed and found that the noise was emanating from the other side of the door. I opened the door slowly to reveal Levi's cat, I don't know what he named it, I don't even know it's gender, but I never asked, let's just assume it's a guy, since Levi's a guy. The cat immediately went inside my room and jumped on my bed, lying down where I was sleeping only minutes ago. I sighed and rolled my eyes, smiling. I walked towards the cat and picked him up.

"What do you think you're doing here little kitty?" I asked the cat. I probably looked really dumb right now, I was holding the cat up to my face, talking to it, and giving my best stern face, which wasn't very good. The cat looked so much like Levi that it was slightly frightening. The cat stared back at me while his eyes were half-lidded and yawned. I giggled at this action and snuggled the cat to my chest."We should get you back to Levi, wonder how you eve got here" I mumbled, while exiting my room and walking towards Levi's room.

While approaching the door, I heard cursing and some sort of rustling behind the door. I slowly opened the door, and peered inside. Levi was pacing around the room, an irritated expression on his face, as he let out a new string of curses. His room was a mess, closet torn apart, bed undone and pillows laying on the opposite corner of the room. He ran a shaky hand through his hair while muttering to himself.Where the hell did he go? Where the fuck is he? I swear, when I find him, he doesn't get breakfast"

I giggled and that caught his attention. He snapped his head in my direction, his eyes almost immediately looking towards my chest, where his cat was still wrapped in my arms. "How did you find him?" He asked me. I laughed."So it is a guy then" He nodded, I puffed out my cheeks and looked down at the cat."What's his name?" I asked. I looked back up at Levi to see him shrug. I thought for a second, then grinned."Levi Jr.!!" I squealed, scaring the cat. Levi sighed."Fine, but only because I don't know what to call the damn brat"

I put Levi Jr. on the ground and he immediately walked towards Levi, brushing up against his leg and purring. I saw Levi smile slightly and pick the newly named cat up into his arms. He cradled Levi Jr. like a new born baby and I smiled.'So cute!!!' He walked towards his bed and placed the cat down, turning to me."uhm.. t-thank you, Zoey, for finding him" He slowly said, just above a whisper. Just to annoy him, I smiled."What was that Levi? I couldn't hear you" "I know you heard me you shitty brat" He growled.

I laughed and that seemed to make his sour mood lighten up a little bit. I smiled again."Well, I should go, I want sleep...so.. bye" I said as I casually left his room. While deep in thought, I failed to notice someone approach me. I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt pain in my back. I looked up to see Eren looking at me with wide eyes. He quickly got off me and I brushed the invisible dust off my legs.(I mean, when you're so close to Levi's office, why would there be any dirt) I looked up at Eren and saw he was blushing.

"I-I-I'm so s-sorry!" He stuttered, looking towards the ground embarrassed. I laughed and that caused him to look up at me in surprise."It's fine Eren, I've gone through much worse" I said, the lat part slipping out of my mouth without me thinking. My eyes widened as I slapped a hand over my mouth, stuttering a mumbled."T-t-that w-was n-nothing!!" Eren's expression went from shock, to worried."It's fine if you don't want to tell me, I mean, we're not even close. But if you need anyone to talk to, shoulder to cry on, I'll be there for you" He spoke with a small smile.

I smiled back and stared at his eyes. They were so beautiful, an amazing mix between blue and green, they were gorgeous. I shook those thoughts out of my head and looked towards the ground."Thank you Eren, I would really like that" He chuckled and I looked back up at him."It's no problem Zoey" He smiled. I hugged him and went back to my room, getting under the thin sheets of the bed, and falling into a dreamless sleep.

I was occupied by school, which is not fun.
