A Wish (An Attack On Titan Fanfiction)

Chapter 18

~Zoey's P.O.V~

After the slightly awkward breakfast, I made my way to the training grounds. Everyone was getting partners, so I automatically thought it was sparring. Even though I knew it was to build strength, I didn't understand why you would fight other people when you are going to be fighting titans. I shook those thoughts out of my head as I headed towards the 3DMG balancing contraptions.(I don't know what it's called!)

When I approached, I noticed Levi, Erwin, Hanji, and Mike standing beside each other in silence. When Erwin saw me, he smiled and waved me over, getting the attention of the others. Hanji grinned, Levi rolled his eyes, and Mike, he did nothing. I returned Erwin's gesture and walked up to them."If you know everything about us, get on it" Levi stated, nodding towards the balance tester.I nodded and walked over to it, and put the harness on. I surprisingly didn't feel nervous, but that might be because of my wish.

I saw Mike walk to the crank and spin in, lifting me up. I felt myself lift from the ground, and I instantly focused my weight into my hips. I smiled slightly as I realized that this might not be as hard as I originally thought it was going to be.The wind started blowing and I was nervous that I was going to fall, but I never did. It looked like all of the superiors were surprised too, even some trainee's started watching, and growing to a small crowd, all of them looking quite shocked. After a minute, Mike let me down, and I let out a sigh, it worked.

I un-did the harness and slipped out. I was suddenly in a bone-crushing hug who I quickly recognized as Hanji. I awkwardly pat her back, letting her know that the hug was over. She let go, and I grabbed her arm. She looked at me, confused. I shook my head, then lowered my gaze to the ground."Can I- um.. maybe, see Albert?" I felt really shy, I don't know why, but I did. I heard her squeal and that got me to look up at her again. She was now slightly jumping, a big ear-to-ear grin on her face, and the squealing noise emanating from her mouth.

Once her squealing subsided, grinning lowered to a big smile, she answered my question."Of course! Nobody ever visits the titans! You wanna see Sawn-" I cut her off."Be careful with them, please,they are going to get murdered in about 3 days" I mumbled, trying hard for only her to hear."Whaaa" She looked confused, until it sank it. She started bawling and mumbling "my babies, oh my poor babies" over and over again. I shuddered, and slowly walked away. I started walking back to the girls' dorms when a familiar noise sounded out.

I blushed as everyone turned towards me, wanting to know what the noise was. My eyes widened as the sound rang out again. It sounded like a dragon roar. That was the sound I had customized my phone to ring out when someone texted me. I quickly rushed to my room and took out my phone to check what happened. There was 2 texts. One from my mom, ok that's not so bad, and the other from..oh no.. please no. It was Brittany. My main bully from school. Wanting to get it over with, I read my mom's text first.

It read:"Where the hell are you?! You think you can just leave? I swear, Your father and I will beat you SENSELESS when you get back!!! Be ready!

I shuddered, then stopped. I don't even know if I can go back, much less if I want to go back. I then, very slowly, exited out from the text, then went to check Brittany's. I didn't want to read it, but my curiosity would get the best of me anyways, so I would just get it over with now.

It read:"Bitch!! Where the fuck have you been! People are getting worried, and they are ignoring me! You ruin my life! Even away from here you still mess everything up!! I swear! You should be scared!! The next time I see you, I Will Kill You!!!!"

I gasped and dropped my phone onto the bed. At least people were worried about me. Not everyone wanted to kill me and beat me. I shook my head, clearing my thoughts, before I put my phone on the bedside table, and drifting off to sleep.
