Chapter 11

~Zoey's P.O.V~

"When do I do the 3DMG test?" I asked Erwin. His (HUGE) eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at the ground. He started mumbling to himself, so quiet that I couldn't make out the words."Pardon?" I asked. His eyes met mine."You can either do it tonight, or..." He trailed off... looking away from me.

"Or what?" I pushed.'Don't be pushy Zoey! You've only met him and your pestering him with questions! Baka!' I scolded myself. I looked back up at Erwin as he spoke."Or tomorrow.." I looked up at him with pleading eyes. "Please tomorrow! I need to practice! Please! Please!" I begged him, my green eyes never leaving his blue ones."Yes, You can do it tomorrow" he sighed, with a slight smile.

"Yay!!" I squealed, launching myself at him for a hug. I wrapped my arms around him and nuzzled my face in his chest.'He smells so good....I wanna stay here forever..ah- STOP! This is Commander Erwin Smith! Technically my superior! I can't feel like this towards him!' I internally screamed.

~Erwin's P.O.V~

"Yayy!!" She squealed. Before I could register what was happening, she hugged me. I felt my cheeks light up in embarrassment and surprise. I hesitantly wrap my arms around her small frame. "I-It's fine, I knew you probably would take s-some time to get settled" I stuttered.'I never stutter around anybody, why did I now? The only other time I stuttered was around my first love, who is now dead. Could I possibly like Zoey?' I pondered, still in an embrace with her.

'That would explain why I'm blushing, and the stuttering... But I can't like her! I'm her superior for god's sake! That would be inappropriate and childish. On the other hand, she is quite a beauty. Her straight brown hair was soft to the touch, and smelled of flowers. Her big emerald green eyes that seem to sparkle with excitement. The way she walks, the way she talks. Ughh! I think I may love Zoey!'
