     (TW: Angst/blood)

Dream snapped out of his dazed,  shocked state. The barren land around him was quickly being covered by rolling smoke and ash. As the figure moved closer, Dream recalculantly lifted his chin to face an alarming sight that filled him with much despair. "It's finally time you died, Dream!" George manically laughed as his deadly weapon finished charging up. Dream snapped open his wings, stirring the darkness around him. His gaze hardened with anger and hatred at the evil being that possessed his closest freind. The air somehow stilled around the two as George fired his death blow power shot. He panicked once Dream hurled upwards to the sky. "Die!" Dream shrieked as he charged head first and slammed into the smaller body at full force. Blood splashed onto Dream's arm and some of his face. The impact completely knocked the body across the open and dusty land. George flew for about 20 or so feet until his body slammed into the wall and fell face down, taking a hard blow to the back of his head. His body scraped and skiddied onto the ground. Dream only felt anger and rage. With no remorse, he repeatedly stomped on George's unconscious body, blood jumping on to his shoes and the rim of his pants. "Dream, what the heck!" Sapnap suddenly yelled, sprinting across the canyon floor. His running disturbed the ground as sediments and sand flew around with each panicked step. The air suddenly soured with confusion and the overwelming rage radiating off of Dream. His stepping parade was stoped by Sapnap as he grasped Dream's arms and pulled him away. Dream struggled for a quick second then fell limp in Sapnap's arms. "Oh my god, George!" He gasped when he saw the injury George had sustained. Sure the livid bruises and scrapes were worrying but the worst part was, George was sprawled out over a fairly large puddle of blood. Sapnap instanly dropped Dream and ran over to his hurting freind. "G-George..." Sapnap stuttered as he fell on both knees next to the body. He began crying which turned into full on sobbing. His clothes became stained with blood as he fell onto George's back, burying his head in his arms. He felt no heartbeat. They all stayed there in mostly unmoving stillness. The only movement was Sapnap's back flinching with each painful gasping of breath. The air of the tragic and hopeless scenery was painted with only sadness. Dream suddenly opened his eyes. His eyes stared at the dark and stormy sky above them and the rim of the canyon, taunting him from up high. He heard sobbing and shifted only his gaze to the noise. Dream shot up in shock, his wings brushing the floor. "W-what!?" He was on his feet and looked down at the unbelievable sight. George was face down in a now pool of blood with Sapnap sobbing over him. Hot tears ran down his face like a river. Like a bolt of lightning, Dream remembered what had just occured. He stood there as the whole battle unfolded and played in his mind. Sapnap stopped crying in a heartbeat and slowly stood up. "What the hell did you do, Clay." Sapnap muttered, his voice was unsympathetic and harsh. Dream could barley reply. "I...I...k-killed him..." Dream stuttered and sobbed. He fell to his knees and bent over in emotional pain. His wings dissapeared along with the dark presense.

The chaos controlled me...or yet...I'm evil...I'm a horible thing...I killed George...

The only thing Dream wanted to do was run away. So he did just that. Dream clumsily got up and ran. He ran and ran, he didn't stop until his legs buckled and sent his body crashing to the empty, dusty, lifeless floor. The happy and joyus memories he had with Sapnap and George turned dark and depressing. One by one, all the memories became painful like a virus infecting all the happiness in his mind. Dream couldn't stop the blurry, haunting memory of crushing George with full force...the body...Sapnap...He drowned in sorrow and guilt. He just killed someone. Rid them of life. Took away their chance of happiness. Ended a soul. Dream just cried until he had no more tears left. He cried on the hard ground for who knows how long. He finally gave up and succumbed to the chaos inside him. "Heh...I am just a bad person, aren't I...Why did I ever try to be anything different." Dream laughed as he stood up. He felt numb and had no real idea of what he was thinking, saying, or doing. His empty but smug smile gave the most unsettling vibe. Okay let's be honest, Dream has totally lost it. Nothing ran through his head as he flung off his mask and stuck his hands into his pockets. He strolled aimlessly through the canyon. The cold, scary, and depressing breeze felt nice on Dream's open face. He began whistling random notes. "This is fuuuuuun! No more trying to control myself, no more idiots, no more worry!" He boisterously laughed. "Boo hoo! Oh no little Georgey is dead!" He manically laughed in a mocking voice, saying the sentence as it meant nothing. This was the chaos he had hidden inside. "Why am did I even decide to go by Dream? It's stupid and lame! I should be Nightmare if anything!" He yelled to himself. His hysterical yelling and laughing echoed through the endless ditch he was trapped in. "Oh god I'm so mentally unstable! Haha whatever, it's not like I need it!" He laughed yet again. Dream was too far into himself there was no hope of ever coming back.

Sapnap POV

I can't believe Clay killed George...
Sapnap carried the limp and bloody body of George. The thought that he ever trusted that traitor was repulsing.
Clay genuinely seemed to like us...we were friends, why would he do this to us...to George, didn't he love him...or was that just a facade too
"Bad!" Sapnap yelled at the top of lungs, hoping to find his only friend left in this god forsaken death trap. "I'm here!" A loud echo replied. Sapnap was filled with hope and ran to the noise. Bad sounded close. He rounded the corner to face BadBoyHalo. His light and relieved smile disappeared completely as he saw George dripping blood and dead in Sapnap's bloody arms. His white outline grew dimmer and flickered. Glowing white tears fell down his face. He hugged Sapnap with his arms wrapped his wings completely around them. Loud crying could be heard from the huddle. Bad didn't let go and only squeezed the two tighter to him. "I...I found...a way...out." He managed to say between sobs. "You did?" Sapnap pulled away in shock. Bad wiped some tears from his eyes and pointed further down the hollow. The two continued crying as they began walking. Bad grasped George's cold, lifeless hand and Sapnap's hand with the other. They all walked hand in hand to the exit from this cursed trench of death.

Goodbye George...We will all miss you.
