Bad's POV:

Bad led Sapnap to the very end of the canyon. It was quite a long and cold walk all the way there. They both finally accepted what has fell upon their close friend, still carrying him in his arms. His legs felt tired and sore from all the walking around but knew he had to keep pushing on. "Is that it right there?" Sapnap asked while looking in the direction of a slightly steep slope that was likely the path to freedom. "So um...I know you don't exactly want to talk about it but," Bad paused for a brief moment to think his question over and Sapnap's possible reactions. "What happened to Dream?" He finished. Sapnap sighed with a bit of anger and continued up the slope, George's dead weight being a heavy burden. "He turned on us and killed George." He bluntly stated without moving his solemn gaze from the path ahead. Bad was shocked out of his mind and stopped dead in his tracks. "D-Dream killed George!?" He asked in surprise and sadness. Sapnap didn't stop walking. "Yeah, he was a lying idiot that The Darkness sent to kill students." Sapnap stated sternly. Sapnap only guessed the last part but it did make sense. Bad still stood in the single dusty spot and tried to process what he was just told. "It can't be true...Dream was a really nice guy, something just happened to him!" Bad insisted, refusing to believe such a nice person could do such an evil and inhuman thing. He ran up the slope to catch up to his friend. The long walk was almost over as Sapnap saw the light of day ahead. Bad was too in his head to see it but continued anyways. George stopped bleeding out most likely because he had no blood left to spill, the air reeked of his blood. Sapnap looked down at his dead friend. They have been the closest buddies for years and years...until the traitor known as Dream destroyed Sapnap's life and George's quite literally. The flame of passion and trust in his heart was snuffed out by nightmare like winds inside his now hollow body. Bad understood what Sapnap was going thorough to some extend. He has never felt empty and dead inside but he was sure getting close to it. I mean, look at this hopeless situation.

Bad's POV:
Sapnap and Bad finally reached the outside. They where met with a large field of flowers and dense, beautiful woods out near the North side of the field. This would've been the most beautiful place in the world if it was under different circumstances. The flowers were dead and withered, the trees had no leaves and spooky fog, and all the pretty grass was in the past, it was now a dead and patchy mess. The sky was also stormy and black just like in the canyon. The scenery became a wasteland. The transformation of the area sent chills down Bad's spine. They sat down on the pointy grass for a break. Bad tried his best to be optimistic for Sapnap's sake and his own. He sat criss crossed and studied his surroundings. When his eyes reached Sapnap he felt his heart drop. The bright and trusting but sly and mischievous expression he always wore was replaced by a dull face of emptiness staring at his friend, laying in his arms. He was a hollow shell.

I have to get Sapnap back! I can't defeat The Darkness on my own! Think Darryl, think! What would George do...wait a second...

Bad had a sudden realization, he knew exactly what to say to Sapnap to get his will to fight back. "Sapnap, your being so dull! Where did all your energy and fire go!?" Bad confronted to start the plan. Sapnap just stared at him with dead eyes. It was very unsettling to say the least but he kept his gaze steady. "What's the point, George is dead, the person I thought was my close friend betrayed us, and we have to somehow survive this crisis. Face it Bad, it's pointless. We are just some prideful children thinking we can save the world." The glare had no emotion in it but still pierced the very fabrics of Bad's soul. He stood up and turned away, half faking being very upset at what his friend just said. "Would George want you to say that." Now that got his attention. "Wha-" Bad cut him off. "Would George want us to give up! Would he want us to sit around like cowards and just mope around pitying ourselves!" Bad exclaimed at full force. Sapnap stared at him with a wide expression. "No, no he wouldn't." Sapnap bowed his head in shame and looked at George. "Then come on, let's save the world. We can't let George die in vain." Bad softly offered, holding out his hand. Sapnap hid his face with shade, sliding George onto the ground and off his lap.

Oh no it didn't work!

Bad began to panic but still held out his hand. "You sure know how to push my buttons. Thanks buddy." Sapnap smirked as he firmly grasped Bad's hand. He was overjoyed and pulled Sapnap up to his feet. "I-I'm sorry for the way I acted, I was just...I don't know." He apologized with a sort of shameful frown and adverted his eyes to Bad's feet. "It's okay, I'm here for you okay?" Bad offered as he pulled Sapnap into a friendly and forgiving hug. They pulled away. In determined, perfect unison Sapnap and Bad declared,

"Let's save the world."
