Dream POV

The group casually strolled out of the pristine castle with satisfaction, totally oblivious to the fact they might die in the next day or so.
"Well that felt rushed." The blonde declared as he stepped back out onto the gritty road of the dimly lit city.
"Yeah but I mean, we did just walk in and revive you two then left sooooooo." Fushimizu put out with an edge to her voice. They all continued to follow Sapnap to wherever the exit might be.
Sometimes I really hate not knowing where I'm walking.
"Where exactly is the exit?" Dream asked with a hint of annoyance. His short friend lightly punched his arm.
"Quit being so impatient!" The brunette laughed. The rest of the group smiled at the silly reply.
"It's uh- a couple more blocks down." The Flame Master stuttered, not sounding sure. Dream breathed a small sigh and carried on placing one tired foot in front of the other.

A waterfall of lava lowed from a dark chamber filled with guards. The walls made from igneous rock, very fitting for a volcano themed kingdom.
"I'm afraid this is where my story ends." Fushimizu suddenly stated. All eyes turned to her. "I can't leave the kingdom, so y'all have to go on without me." She painfully said. Nothing in the world could amount to the level of disappointment on Sapnap's face.
"I, I'm really sorry. For everything." He frowned apologetically. The green and red haired girl shuffled through her pockets and pulled out a small keychain of clip art fire.
"You better bring this back or else I'll kill you." Fushimizu spoke as tears welled up in her eyes.
"Of course I will...I promise to give it back soon." Sapnap tearfully replied. He hugged her so hard. They where embraced for who knows how long, wishing they didn't have to part ways. Dream silently wishes he could do the same with George one day, hold him so tight and promise to be back soon. And, be in his lover's embrace. Too bad his guilt overpowered his yearning for George's love.
I can't be with him, I'll hurt him again...
Dream nearly began crying himself. The green hooded man stared at his beautiful friend in sadness. George quickly met Dream's saddened gaze and moved closer to the point their arms where touching. But how did George tell he wanted that? Dream suddenly smiled the tiniest bit even though he knew this shouldn't happen.
"Bye Nick, I'll see you soon." Fushimizu stated as Sapnap turned away to the exit.
"Bye Mei." He replied, not looking back over his shoulder. "We must be on our way. Allow my colleagues and I to pass through thy holy gate." The black haired boy strictly ordered as one of the guards panicked and pulled a lever to the side. The large golden double doors opened slowly. The daylight blinded Dream's eyes, the horrid rays of sun burning into his retinas. He squinted in pain.
"Ha losers, I have shades." George teased as he pushed his lips and tapped his glasses twice. Dream felt like vampire, hiding away from the deadly sunlight.
"Shut." Sapnap hissed as he took a step forward. Dream's eyes finally adjusted to the light. He stared confusingly at the area in front of him. It was the same river they entered, but they where standing, facing the sky above.
How are we in the lava river AND sideways!? Oh, it could be magic.
Dream mentally face palmed and walked forward. The world turned to its side as he stepped onto the riverbank. That might've been the weirdest thing he'd done in a while.
"Woah." Bad breathed out from behind, his pupil-less eyes wide.
"Welcome back to the real world!" Bad enthusiastically announced as the guys all stepped out and the gate closed to hide the kingdom.
"Now let's go kick the Darkness-" MUFFIN!" LET'S GO KICK THE DARKNESS'S MUFFIN!" Bad interrupted Dream's sentence. Sapnap burst out laughing and bent over in wheezes, George giggled with his hand covering his mouth, and Dream stared at Bad.
I was going to say ' kick the Darkness back to where it came from but okay?
The two laughingstocks calmed down as the Masters trekked through the forest. The masked man felt that the mood was too light for their possible last peaceful day of their lives. The group pushed through green shrubbery and found a large dirt patch, perfect for a battle. The tall lines of trees, perfect for privacy and the beautiful forest all around is an ideal place to die. They all stopped at the edge of the clearing.
"Let's lure the Darkness here, we can take it." Bad suggested with a surprisingly violent tone.
"Any last words before we call for the Darkness?" Sapnap grimly asked.
Now this is a fitting mood...
Dream sighed, he wouldn't admit his crush, he'll sadly die with it.
     "No?" Sapnap inquired once more.
No.
Dream boldly stepped out into the clearing.
"COME GET ME! I WILL FIGHT YOU, AND I WILL KILL YOU!" He furiously yelled from the top of his lungs. Dream exploded into his magical form. "FIGHT ME COWARD!" He screamed to the emptiness of the vacant forest. A chilly dark wind suddenly passed through.
"Oh? And now I know why Chaos vanished. You took your body back!" An ominous voice mused. It was clearly the Darkness. A looming black figure of charcoal colored smoke appeared on the other side of the clearing. A red flaming beam shined from the group on the side, Sapnap was aggressively shooting a full powered beam. It glowed so bright with power, Dream closed his eyes.

The red light bursted into a blinding beam, Dream would always cover his eyes.

Dream shielded his eyes as another colorful beam of raw power lit up the sky.

Then the teal light did the same.

The three masters had held the Darkness in agonizing pain, hisses of spite spilled out from its metaphorical mouth as the beams of power was slowly eating its life away. All Dream could do was stand there, planted to the ground. He wanted to move, but his body said no. It felt like something as grand as destiny was denying to help.
MOVE! WHY WONT YOU MOVE!!!
Dream yelled at himself internally in anger. The Darkness suddenly grew bigger as it absorbed more surrounding smoke. The beams began losing to a dark beam, the evil energy infecting the power. Sapnap and Bad yelled in agony as they shot their last bits on energy to try to overpower the evil. But George turned away and ran to Dream.
"C'MON!" George fretted in panic as he tried to lift Dream off the floor. He moved. "We have to save some time to charge up! Hurry!" George frantically yelled as he and Dream stumbled away into the bushes. Dream risked a glance at his fighting friends and...

They're losing...

Dream watched in horror and shock as the Darkness overwhelmed his two close friends, their painful screams echoing in his mind as they faded into the black monster. George cling to Dream's arm tightly as he sobbed. Neither of them could fathom what they just witnessed.

They left the red light behind to get overwhelmed by the dark power.

The Darkness made its way to his hiding spot. A dark wave sent all the tall trees crashing down. Dream heard and scream quickly cut off and a sharp pain in his leg. He opened his eyes to find that George was crushed by one of the falling trees.

A black beam crushed the teal light.

He suddenly realized,
This was my nightmare...this is destiny
Dream snapped.
NO NO NO IM NOT FOLLOWING WHATEVER STUPID PATH DESTINY HAS FORSAKEN ME TO FOLLOW!!!
His conscious became half Chaos half Dream.

"You will perish." A cold voice sounded. Dream was splattered with his and other's blood as he charged head on into the Darkness.
"GAH!" The monster screamed as he pierced it with his green sword. The cracked mask fully broke in half. His full power is now unleashed. Dream quickly but calmly flew above the trees, his sword dangling at his side. A green flash crashed back down into the Darkness. Again, and again, and again. The Darkness was weak and venerable from all the attacks. The green figure soared high above the clouds and plummeted down at light speed. In his trail, blasting booms of emotions and broken sound barriers shook the Earth to its core. In less than a single heartbeat, The Darkness dissipated under the mighty broadsword and full powered Dream.
"How..." It's weak, screechy voice questioned in despair. Dream has no mercy for something that killed his friends.
"It's called Chaos, loser." He sneered.
     "Your life ends here."
Dream pushed the sword into the last bits of dark smoke.
