Together at last

Zelda's POV

I change back into my research cloths before I head out into the garden. It's beautiful. The sun reflect off the pools of water and the bright green leaves. I walk through the labyrinth of bushes. I wonder who planted them. My mother? Her mother? Her mother? I guess I'll never know. I sit down near a fountain. It's beautiful.

The battle is over. Nothing to worry about. The goddesses are happy. I can be with Link. 

"Hey Princess!" he yells. 

He sits down next to me. Offering an apple. "No thanks." He shrugs and eats it. He doesn't have the sword with him. Or any weapon. He wears a brown tunic and trousers. 

"Link?" 

"Yeah?"

"Did you meen what you said at the spring?"

He leans in and kisses me softly. I kiss him back. "Does that answer your question?" I wrap my arms around him. Then he kisses me again. "I'm so lucky." he says. "To be in love with the most beautiful girl in the world." 

I can't help but think about how lucky I am. Other girls don't find people like Link. "I love you too."

Linkle's POV

A few months later...........

"Hurry up Linkle."

"I know Master Revali. I know." 

We are heading to Rito village today. It will be my first time there. Link said we had to wait until after the coronation and the funeral. Queen Zelda gave me a wool coat and mittens. Plus a new crossbow. And arrows. Aryll swings around a Gerudo sword. She is going to Gerudo town soon. "You sure you will be okay Aryll." "Don't worry Aunt Urbosa will take care of me!" 

"Well okay then." 

I give her a quick hug before heading outside. Who knows when I would come back? When I would see Aryll again, or Link. 

I walk out of the cottage. "I'll meet you in thirty minutes. I have to say good bye to the other champions." "Whatever." 

I walk to the castle. It's not a long walk but it's still nice to have a quick walk before I am riding horse back, for hours on end. I walk to the gardens. Beautiful. Yet old. Green and alive. I walk toward the center. And stop just in time. To see Link and Zelda. They have there backs to me. So I duck behind a bush. 

"Hey Zelda?" says Link.

"Yes."

"Well I know we have only been dating for a few months."

He pauses. Taking a deep breath in.

"What is it Link?" 

He does something very unexpected. He pulls out a small box and gets on one knee. He opens it. It has a small ring in it with a diamond on it. "Queen Zelda Hyrule. Will you marry me?" Wow wow wow! My brother is getting married! She takes the ring places it on her finger and says "Yes."
