Chapter Nine- Growing relationships

~~Brooklyn's point of view ~~

I was the first one up this morning. I heard Turner, so I got him up. Megan was up next. I want to talk to her without the guys around. I just don't know how to approach it.

She sits down next to me after getting her coffee.

Megan: "Can we talk?"

Brooklyn: "Of course."

Megan: "Did something happen to you Tuesday?"

Brooklyn: "When we had the ball fight?"

Megan: "Yes. When Marcus kissed you before Ryder threw the ball, something felt different."

Brooklyn: "Then Ryder kissed you. It tipped it over the edge?"

Megan: "Exactly."

Brooklyn: "I was going to talk to you. I didn't know how to bring it up."

Megan: "You and I have been close since all this started. Out of everyone, I was drawn to you."

Brooklyn: "That's the way I feel too. Then I felt that same exact connection with Marcus Tuesday."

Megan: "I felt it with Ryder too."

Brooklyn: "Do you feel like the four of us are supposed to be like this?"

Megan: "Living in the same home with brothers and raising a child together?"

Brooklyn: "Yes. This started out with it all being about Turner."

Megan: "I now know this was supposed to happen. I know we aren't going to lose Turner because this was the way it was supposed to be the entire time."

Brooklyn: "Exactly, and I know both Ryder and Marcus felt it too."

Megan: "How?"

Brooklyn: "I overheard a conversation in the car yesterday. Marcus was different yesterday too."

Megan: "He told me."

Brooklyn: "See, that's what I mean. If I was with Randall and he told you that, I'd be pissed."

Megan: "But it was Marcus."

Brooklyn: "Yes. I would have found it odd that he didn't tell you."

The doorbell rings.

Brooklyn: "I'll get it."

I go and let Nina in. We get to the living room.

Marcus comes barreling down the hall.

Marcus: "Babe."

Brooklyn: "What?"

He looks between Megan and me.

Marcus: "Go change. Both of you."

Brooklyn: "Why?"

Marcus: "Rocky and Rowan are on their way here with Randall."

Brooklyn: "What why?"
