~~LeClere's point of view ~~
Bella has questioned me every day; I refuse to break a rule; Rhys said we could. He specifically said not to tell her who it was. I've also been very tight-lipped about actual details. I try not to think about it. When I do, my mind goes immediately to Rhys.
Marco: "Bear?"
LeClere: "Yeah?"
Marco: "You ok?"
LeClere: "Yes, why?"
Marco: "Did something happen with Cindy?"
LeClere: "No, Why?"
Marco: "You're different. There's something different about you."
I can feel him staring at me, tapping his pen on the table.
LeClere: "Ask what you want to ask Marco."
Marco: "Did you meet someone?"
LeClere: "No."
Marco: "Are you sure? You seem really happy."
Just then, my phone beeps. I look down and see Rhys's name. I can't help but smile.
~~Text conversation~~
Rhys: "What do you guys think about making this weekend the whole weekend? The partner you pick you stay with from Friday to Sunday?"
LeClere: "I'm in."
~~End conversation~~
Within minutes my phone starts going crazy with replies.
Marco: "Oh, sweetheart, you have met someone."
LeClere: "Not really. It's complicated. I'm just extremely happy."
I read the packet Bella had given me; it was the list of rules and a very brief bio of each person, First name only, age, sexual likes, and dislikes. I busted out laughing reading that Rhys doesn't give oral. I'm going to have to ask him about that the next time I get him.
Marco: "I'm happy for you, Clere."
LeClere: "Believe me when I say that I am not dating anyone. I'm just in a really good place."
Marco: "I'm just glad you are happy."
Marco's phone rings. I can't hear the other person. All I can hear is Marco.
~~Phone Conversation~~
Marco: "Hello?"
○
Marco: "Ok?"
○
Marco: "Why?"
○
Marco: "Damnit, Maverick. When are you going to grow up?"
○
Marco: "Fine."
○
Marco: "Ok."
○
Marco: "My assistant can set it up."
○
Marco: "Ok."
{Apparently, I'm going to do something.}
Marco: "This better not be a waste of my time."
