Chapter Eight-More changes

Things have changed.

Joshua and I are still solid. I'm crazy about him, and I know he loves me. We still hide our relationship for obvious reasons.

So much has happened. It's been crazy.

Pop-Pop's divorce was final. Rhys insisted that all the guys go out. We girls stayed home and talked like we always do. That night was crazy. Joshua came home horny as hell. We spent all night tangled in each other. We've gotten a bit more adventurous.

Pop-Pop decided we all needed a family vacation. He rented a home in Myrtle Beach for three weeks. Joshua and I spent a lot of time together there. Time that no one questioned. He did spend one entire day with Beth. I didn't mind. The day he spent with her, I spent with Angel. Mama had let me take her for the entire day.

It turns out Pop-Pop and Marielle had been dating; They found out they were expecting their first child there; Marielle knew but didn't tell Pop-Pop. He figured it out. So did Marcus and Rhys. They broke down and told us all. Life didn't change. It just made it happier. They are good for each other, and Pop-Pop loves her. She loves him just as much.

Her parents not so much. They dislike Pop-Pop. None of us understand why. They wouldn't be anything without Marcus.

Speaking of Marcus, that was even crazier. Pop-Pop sent Brooklyn to work with Marcus. They ended up married, and so did Megan and Marcus's brother Ryder. That worked out, though. Megan's parents fought them for custody of their son Turner. They didn't win. The four of them live in the same home and are Raising Turner together. Megan and Brooklyn are both pregnant.

An even bigger shock was Beth and Chase got married while vacationing in Hawaii. Beth, Megan, and Brooklyn all married within eleven days of each other. Chase moved in with us. It's great having him here. He and I are close. We always have been. I wouldn't have anything without him.

Caroline met Marcus's brother Rocky; he and Rowan are twins; Rowan married a girl named Nina. She made him marry her after she got pregnant. He jokes that she forced him, but they are very happy. Rocky and Rowan are identical twins; Rowan is the wild one, Rocky is the serious one. Apparently, he had had a thing for Caroline for a while and never said anything. They are now married.

They Live in the same neighborhood, so Lillian sees both Caroline and Joshua daily.

All of us are happy.

Things did shift a bit at work; I am now Pop's personal assistant, I have taken over Mama's job. She stays home with Beth and the babies. Joshua was promoted to my position, and he now has an assistant.

I was a little jealous at first; she's beautiful; I shouldn't have been, though; Joshua doesn't want anyone but me.

Pop's isn't in the office today. Mama is pregnant, and she has a doctor's appointment.

I hear my office door open. I look up.

Anissa: "Hey."

Joshua: "Hello, Babe."

Anissa: "What's up?"

He cocks his eyebrow.

Anissa: "Seriously?"

Joshua: "No."

Anissa: "You wear me out..."

Joshua: "You love every minute of it."
