Mary is already awake when she heard a creaking sound coming from her door, when she look up she found her brother's half body peaking at her bed. The boy really resembles her father and she felt nostagic seeing a part of him still present.

You don't have to sneak around you know, come in... she tap the side of her bed and give space to her brother to sit. She didn't feel any resentment towards him, he's innocent, they were both victims of their parent's complicated circumstances in which she didn't know yet. Maybe Abby is right, it's highly time to talk to her mother.

He's really cute, she wanted to pinch his cheeks, she giggles at her own thoughts. She really wanted to have a little brother or sister before. It's lonely without someone to play with but her father tried to fill that void by spoiling her. When she started going to school she had friends to play with and and later Abby became her bestfriend. Sometimes she get's bullied by other kid's knowing she has no mother. She was hurt by then, but her Dad tried to explained things to her that what other's thought of her doesn't matter as long as she get's enough love from him. Later on she's toughen enough to fend off those bullies, and they leave her alone.

Chris looked at her with rapt attention seeing her face with different expression, she smiles then winced and knotted her forehead, what's got her like this he didn't know. Are you alright? he asked with curiousity.

I'm fine, just remembering things, so... little brother huh? she looked at him like she coudn't believe that he is really her brother and in full blood. It's just felt weird and shocking especially when you look like Dad.

I'm not, I have known about you and our father. Mom have your pictures and Dad too. I have meet him you know, and you're right, I looked like him.

What? When? Mary is surprised to learned all about these. Another shocking revelation added to her confusion. So many secrets and lies kept from her by her father and she didn't how to feel about it anymore.

It may come a huge surprise to you,.. but they have reasons to hide things. I hope you opened your mind and forgive Mom, because she's doing her best in all she can. Don't judge her harshly because she suffered also, we both are. It's best if you talk to her to clarify things.

You sound like not a 10 year old, how come you're so mature in dealing these things.

I have to be tough, because it's been hard for our Mother live without her complete family all those years. I have seen her breakdown many times just watching your pictures eventhough she tried to hide it from me. We're the same you know, you had our father at your side and I had our mother. I won't blame you for feeling betrayed but please tried to be understanding and open your heart for forgiveness.

Mary is amazed at her brother's strong words, at young age his view in their family matters is beyond Mary's comprehension. Maybe he's just too innocent and haven't experienced the same pain as she felt. But she cannot deny the fact that some of it is true.

Uhm...Chris, when you said you've meet Dad, when was that?

A year ago, have you remembered his trip to New York?

Yes, she did, she was even surprised when her Dad came home in that particular day. He looked very happy and when she asked him the reason he just cryptic on his reply. He just keep on saying he's working on a big surprise that surely would make her happy. From that day on, her father never lose the smile on his face again. So that was the reason behind it, why does her Dad tried to hide things from her? that what keeps her wondering.

You don't have to processed it all now you know, you need to recover first, I'm just giving you a heads up so you have an idea and don't just ignore Mom.
