Adrian offered his arm to Mary and ushered her to where their parents busy entertaining their guest.

Almost immediately Abigail clasped Mary's arm and pulled her on her side whispering Adrian is definitely into her.

I don't know what are you talking to Abbs, he just trying to be friendly.

Friendly my foot, Abigail continue to teased Mary. If only you'd seen how his eyes followed you everywhere, and you did the same.

No I didn't, just something caught my attention, and as I said before I had no interest in him.

Oh yeah! you can't fool me Mary Elizabeth, I've known you, you have a crush on him also... admit it. I noticed your reaction earlier, you cannot take off your eyes on him either.

Shhh.... someone might hear you.

Adrian preened his ears so he can hear their conversation, ignoring the fact that he never did this kind of thing listening to other's while pretending to observed other people. " God what I am doing? he was baffled at his own behavior.

A subtle blushed covered her face which didn't escaped his notice and he knows exactly what are they talking to since Abigail is not discreet enough on her words and a glint of mischief partnered with endless teasing is enough for Mary to get flustered.

Caroline sauntered saucily to where Adrian standing followed by her friends Brittany and Jessica. Now is the right time to claimed her prized possesion and show this girl who is she messing with. She saw the girl is having a conversation and huddled together with another girl, her friend maybe? she didn't care. It's good that Adrian is alone but still his attention is fixed in that girl which irritates her because she never had that with him. All through out their relationship Adrian never shown that kind of reaction that's why sometimes she flirted with other boys to make him jealous.

Adrian babe, she called him loud enough intends to to be heard by that girl and true enough she didn't missed the surprised gasp coming from her. Good, now she knows who Adrian belongs to. A seductive smile plastered on her beautiful face ready to entice her boyfriend but Adrian's reaction is not what she expected. He had a cold look on his face that her confidence flactuated and her smile vanished instantly. But she won't be detered on her purpose to let that girl know Adrian is hers so she latched on him and kissed him.

Adrian is too stunned at Caroline sheer display of boldness that he didn't fend off her advance immediately. People are looking at them with keen interest as earlier he was with Mary's side the whole time and now a new girl is plastered on him.

Mary on the other hand upon hearing someone called Adrian babe, her heart plummeted. A sudden pang of jealousy hit on her chest seeing a very beautiful girl kissing him right infront of many people. With utter disbelief look on her face she averted her eyes to the intimate scene.

What are you doing? Andrian shake her arm angrily and gritted his teeth. A worried look etched on his face as he searched for Mary. Seeing the look of hurt on her face made him want to lashed at Caroline's audacity. He didn't want Mary to have a misunderstanding on his relationship to Caroline. He wanted to pursue his feelings for her, even if they just meet what he feels for her is not momentarily. Deep inside he knows that it will grow into something more profound.

Caroline could not believed that Adrian ignored her and choose to follow that girl.
She was humiliated to be left alone standing were the crowd could see her shocked and confused. Her friends acted immediately to save her from further embarassment. The look and pity in their eyes is the last straw of her humiliation. Her mind plotted to extract revenge on Adrian and that girl. She would never forget what they did to her and would soon taste her wrath. Nobody could defeat Caroline Langford and those who tried would soon know the extent of her anger.
