He loves me, he loves me! Thank StarClan, he loves me! I yowl inwardly as I pace around the den, unable to sleep.
"Jeez, if you can't sleep, Hollyflower, go on the dawn patrol!" Peppertail complains, and several others agree.
"Sorry." I tell them. "I'll go."
I slip through the entrance and pace across the clearing. It's not sunhigh yet, and I'm anxious to meet Stormheart at moonrise.
"Hey, Snowpatch, want to come with me on patrol?" I ask. She looks up.
"Sure. Can we take Fernpaw?" She asks.
"I'll get him." I answer. I pad to the apprentice den and peek in.
"What's up?" He asks, standing and stretching.
"Want to go on patrol?" I ask, and by the expression on his face, it's a yes. We leave and head towards the border, and I pray that I can get even a glimpse of him.
