Eyes full of stars (A Warrior Cats fanfic)

Chapter 8

I pad through familiar trees towards my home, taking in all the scents.

Suddenly, I hear hissing and yowling coming from the direction of the Clan. I gasp and run as fast as I can. I just make it to the thorn entrance when I hear a terrible wail of anguish.

I bolt upright.

"Jeez, Hollypaw! Your thrashing is scaring away all the prey from here to the stream!" Fernpaw complains. I ignore him and shake moss scraps out of my fur.

"Hey, is something wrong?" My friend asks anxiously. I shake my head and slip through the entrance. I make my way over to Featherstar's den. I need to tell her.

"You look upset, Hollypaw!" meows the clan leader in alarm.

"I had a dream, and I don't know..." I begin.

"I'll get Leafheart and Petalpaw." she tells me, standing up and leaving the den quickly.

I wait for them to return anxiously, and when they do, I tell them my whole dream.

"I also had a dream." Petalpaw meows quietly after a moment of silence.

"Go on." her mentor urges. The young medicine apprentice dips her head shyly and continues softly.

"I was at the border. I saw two trees; one on BlazeClan territory, one on KittyClan territory." she hesitates.

"Keep going, please." Featherstar tells her.

"Okay. A leaf fell from each tree, crossed the border, and sat next to each other. BlazeClan's leaf was on KittyClan territory, and KittyClan's was on BlazeClans, sitting right next to each other." she takes a slow breath and glances at her leader and her mentor.

"Thank you, Petalpaw." Leafheart says with an approving nod, but she frowned, deep in thought.

"Perhaps we will find what this means sooner or later. Do not mention it to any cat at the moment." Featherstar tells us, dismissing the group with a wave of her tail.

I pad out of the den, head racing. Oh, no! This has everything to do with me and my beautiful warrior! I just know it! Is this in the plans of StarClan? Are the Clans going to fight over us?
