I spent the whole night praying silently and picturing the young she-cat, gazing at me. What could I see in those beautiful green eyes? Did I see love? I saw amazement, wonder...
Was my mind making up things? I wonder if she could love me too. I wonder what she's doing now. She could be gazing at this same sky.
The moon is soon revealed; it's a little more than half. I can't wait until the next Gathering! Then I could see her again. Maybe I don't have to wait until the Gathering...
It's against warrior code! I can't see her! I fight with myself. I can catch her by chance. I can meet her on a patrol! I can meet her near Twoleg place, where there's no warrior territory.
She smelled like mint and something sweet... I wish I could remember her name! I gaze at Silverpelt, imagining that I could see star-streaked warriors racing across the sky.
Oh, StarClan! I wail inwardly. Please help me!
