xi. Turning Tables ❤️

Avery was a psychologist. She counseled people who had gone through divorces, who had been abused, who were depressed-she dealt with the entire spectrum. Avery walked home the same way every night-she knew everyone along her path and they all knew her. But one night, that all changed. (Insert creative license here-you can choose what happens to her-kidnap, assault, etc.)

Suddenly, Avery was the one seeing the therapist, being studied from all angles. And the person who was conducting the studying for Avery was her former boyfriend. Romances re-ignited, but then the question arises: is he helping or hurting Avery?

••••••••••••

So, I'm pretty sure by now you have noticed that most of my ideas and books revolve around abuse, mental diseases, eating disorders, self harm, or the like. This is because I have experienced all these things and it bothers me that there's such a stigma attached to the kinds of things. If I don't want to live in this world anymore, that's not your issue. It doesn't affect my personality, or who I am. It's a decision, an observation. Just like if I was part of the LGBT community. It's a decision, an observation, and it doesn't affect your personality. People, including my parents, try to take me to counselors, psychologists, everything. Talking to someone won't make me change my mind. Maybe for you it will. Not for me.

So with this in mind, I want to say that I think this plot is interesting. It's turning the tables on someone who thought she had it all figured out, with a twist of romance and such.

Sorry to unload all that in my first paragraph. I just want everyone to understand that it happens. It's not your fault, it's not anyone's fault. It just happens.

Thanks.

Kristine :)
