chapter 13 **Come on Kiki! Let's party!!!!

Monday afternoon Tiffany came into the cookie shop.

"Hey stranger!!!" Kelsie called brightly. "Thank you for covering my shifts last week! I can cover your Saturday if you want!"

"That would be great!" Tiffany said with a glint in her eye. "I can think of other ways to spend the day!"

Kelsie laughed, pretty sure she didn't want to know what Tiffany's plans were. "Mrs. Jasper is letting me package the orders during the day since we don't have school." Keksie said happily, "so I get off early all week!"

"Cool!" Tiffany said, then suddenly changed course. "So. How come you blew Dar off after prom?"

"I didn't blow him off!" Kelsie said defensively. "I was on restriction. How the heck did you hear anyway!"

"You'd be amazed at the people who find your relationship fascinating." Tiffany said bitterly.

"I know a few people who need lives do." Kelsie said. "I didn't expect that you did. You have a pretty exciting life on your own."

"I just heard about it hanging out on the strip." Tiffany said seeming bored. "I also heard that some guy from your church threatened to cut Darren off at the knees if he didn't stop cheating on you."

"Dang!" Kelsie exclaimed, "you're good! Even I didn't know what Drake said to him! Darren didn't tell me!"

"Well I guess Darren told somebody." Tiffany said with a smirk. "Were you not worried that if you didn't play nice Darren might find another way to meet his needs."

"You mean cheat?" Kelsie ask. "I'm pretty sure he did, but there was no way I was having sex Saturday. I felt terrible."

"So you're OK with some other girl having your boyfriend while you were home sleeping?" Tiffany asked.

"Ummm." Kelsie seriously thought on it for a moment them said, "yeah. I'm fine with it actually. Mostly because she didn't really have my boyfriend. She just had his weenie. I'm not super attached to that part anyway."

"You can't possibly be that easy going Kelsie." Tiffany said rolling her eyes. "Are you seriously trying to separate his heart from his dick?"

"Not trying. Did." Kelsie said with certainty. "It was easy when I thought about it. You helped a lot. I mean what do I care if he finds some girl to do the stuff I have no intention of doing? It's really no different than him watching porn and touching himself, really. Even Saturday. So, he took some other girl to the room he rented for me. What do I care? She had to have known that he really wanted me. Even if she didn't. I did."

"Kelsie that is the most stupid thing I've ever heard." Tiffany said looking disgusted. "Do you honestly not think he's telling this girl that she's important?"

"Well yeah, but if she believes him she's dumber than me." Kelsie said sounding completely calm and rational. "Think about it. I have his ring. I'm who his friends know, I'm the one his family loves. She's the one he's sneaking around to screw in the dark. She hasn't told me who she is and I bet that's because she knows that once I know, he'll drop her. He's not willing to give me up for her or he already would have. It's not like we're married. He can easily leave, but he doesn't."

Kelsie stopped, thought a bit and then added "ya know, now that I think about it, I feel bad for her. I mean, she may love him. Why else would she put up with it? She's taking a lot more crap than me and getting nothing in return."

"Says the girl who hands him money like a bank!" Tiffany said and Keksie looked up at the tone of her voice. Tiffany was mad.

"Well. I said I was stupid too." Kelsie said. "It just makes me feel better to know I'm his number one idiot I guess." Then Tiffany left still seeming angry and Kelsie remembered too late that Tiffany made a hobby out of being the kind of girl they were just discussing.
