The Day After
*Jamie's POV*
*The next day*
So the girls and I still don't know what our fathers were crying about last night. When Lux showed us that picture of them crying in the audience, I just thought they were crying because they were proud of us. But apparantly they were crying for a completely different reason and they won't tell us what it is. I think they told Simon, Ed, Aunt Gemma, Denise, Greg, Theo, Sophia, Eleanor, Maura, and Alex's grandfather after we went to bed last night. I tried to listen in, but I got caugt and was basically forced to go to bed, even though I am going to be 18 in about a month.
"JAMIE!" I heard the girls and Simon yell.
"What?" I ask, coming back into reality.
"Are you okay?" Simon asked with concern.
"Yeah, why?" I asked curiously.
"Well, first of all, when it was your part to sing, you were just standing there, staring blankly." Annemarie started.
"We were basically calling you for the last 10 minutes and you weren'te answering." Emily added.
"Going to be honest, you worried us a little bit." Jessica told me.
"Sorry." I apologized.
"It's okay, just take it from the top." Simon said as the music started playing.
*Eleanor's POV*
"I can't believe that's why they cried last night." I said to the others.
We're just sort of having a lazy day since the girls were rehearsing today and the boys are out.
"You're still on that?" Theo asked me.
"Yeah. I am actually quite concerned about it actually." I replied.
"Why?" Theo asked.
"Because they haven't let it go after all these years. I mean, I feel like they shoud have put it behind them by now." I explained.
"She's right. I actually tought Zayn forgot about that whole situation years ago. But seeing cry like that last night, made me think that they have been carrying that around for all of these years and they're finally letting it get to them." Perrie explained.
"If they have been carrying it around for all of these years, than I don't see why they wouldn't tell any of us." I said to them.
"Maybe they were to embarrassed to say anything." Maura stated,
I just sat there and thought about it for awhile. Maybe she's right. Maybe they were to embarrassed to tell us until now. But I don't see the reason why they started that whole scene right after the girls results were announced.
"HONEY, I'M HOME!" I heard my daughter yelled into the room.
A few secnds later, Annmarie and the other girls came walking into the room.
"How was rehearsals?" I asked them.
"They were okay." Annemarie replied.
"Nothing interesting happened today?" Greg asked.
"Well, we did lose Jamie for a few minutes, but it's all good." Alex told her uncle.
"What happened?" Gemma asked with concern.
"Well, it was her part in the song, and she wasn't singing. She was just staring blankly into the stands." Jessica explained.
"We kept calling her for like 10 minutes, until we finally all called her. Even Simon joined in. But we finally got her attention and she was fine the rest of the rehersal." Emily added.
"Why were you zoning up there? Did something happen that I should know about?" Gemma asked her niece with concern.
"Relax. Nothing happned. I was just thinking. That's all." Jamie replied.
"Are you sure? Are you alright?" Gemma asked Jamie.
"Aunt Gemma, if I wasn't alright I would have told you." Jamie snapped.
We all sat ther in silence. We weren't expecting Jamie to snap at her Aunt like that. She usually did that when the rest of us weren't around. So I'm guessing Gemma's going to do something later.
"So, where's our fathers?" Annemarie asked, breaking the awkard silence.
"We don't know. They went out right after you girls left this morning and haven't been back since. They didn't even tell us where they were going." Sophia answered
"HONEY, I'M HOME!" I heard my husband yell when he entered the hotel room.
"They're home." Alex said sarcastically, making us all laugh.
"Oh, hey, when did you girls get here?" Louis asked the girls as him and the boys entered the room.
"A few minutes ago." Jessica answered.
"So, who's up for some food, cause I'm hungry." NIall told the group as he made his way back out of the hotel room.
"I guess we're eating now?" Emily said, but it came out more like a question.
"I guess so." Sophia replied as we all made our way out of the hotel room and down to the hotel's restaurant.
