The Dinner

*Perrie's POV*

*The Next Day*

"Wait, so you guys were actually at the actual live show?" I asked in shock.

"Yup." They replied.

"So you guys heard all of those things about you guys and the song we sang?" Jamie asked.

"Basically." Harry told her.

"Oh my gosh, that's so embarrassing." Jamie said as she hid her face in her hands.

"Why? We actually thought it was cute." Niall told her with a smile.

"Dad, that's even more embarrassing." Alex whined as she also covered her face in embarrassment.

So after the girls got done with rehearsals, we all decided that we were going to go out to dinner to catch up. Well, Simon and Ed tagged along because they wanted to catch up with everyone, but you get the point. Anyway, the boys just laughed at Jamie and Alex and continued on with another conversation.

"So, boys, how does it feel to know that all of you have a daughter the same age and all went to the same school?" Simon asked them.

"Wait, they went tot the same school?" Zayn asked in confusion.

"I'm going to take that as, you didn't know that they went to the same school." Simon said.

"That's a little creepy." Liam said with a weird face, ignoring Simon's last comment.

"Ya think." The others said to him.

"How have you boys been doing? I haven't seen you boys in ages." Maura asked them.

"I'm actually doing good." Harry said as the others nodded.

"I still can't believe that all of you knew that Alex was auditioning and you didn't tell me." Niall said to his parents, his brother, sister-in-law, and nephew.

"Well, Theo kind of dragged us along. He said that Alex was amazing and that we just had to go." Denise explains to him.

"Wait, you heard her sing before the audition?" Niall asked his nephew in confusion.

"A few days before the audition I was hanging out with Alex while you were at work. Alex was too lazy to get off the couch to get her phone charger, so she made me go get it. When I went in there, I found your old guitar, When I brought it out and asked her what she was doing with it, she took it from me and started playing. I told her that she needed to audition for the X Factor, and she was already planning on auditioning anyway. So I offered to take her. I just brought a few more people than expected," Theo explained.

Nialls jaw literally dropped when he heard that story. I guess he's surprised that she was going to audition anyway.

"How'd you find my guitar?" Niall asked Alex.

"When I was like 10 or 11, I found the guitar in the attic while getting some Christmas decorations. It was just sitting there, collecting dust. So I took it upon myself to teach myself how to play it." Alex explained to her father.

"But my guitar was too big for you at 11." Niall said in confuison.

"I know." Alex told her father.

Niall opened his mouth to say something else, when Ed spoke up.

"I can't believe you guys are actually here right now." Ed said happily.

"I know, we can't believe it either." Louis replied.

"It's weird having the whole gang back together again." Ed said.

We kind have took over the whole restaurant. Well, sort of. We brought along the boys, the band, Paul, Lou and Lux, Simon, Ed, the One Direction crew, the girls, and all of the One Direction families. We had to break up into different tables because the refused to put us in one long table. But that's okay, we're all kind of switching tables to talk to different people anyway.

"I know, right." Niall replied happily.

"It's so nice to see you boys together again. I thought I was never going to see you boys again. Niall was always too afraid to call you guys." Niall's father admitted.

Everyone looked at NIall, whose face is as red as a tomato.

"Dad." Niall whined.

"Sorry, just telling them the truth." He replied.

"Is that true?" Simon asked him in disbelief.

"Yeah." Niall admitted with his head hanging in shame.

"Why would you be afraid to call us?" Louis asked in confusion.

"Because I thought you guys changed your numbers or you guys never wanted to talk to me again." Niall said, ashamed.

"Don't ever think that again, you hear me. I would never change my number and I would always have time to talk to my best friends." Liam told him sternly.

"Oh shut it you. You never called them either." Sophia told her husband.

"What are you talking about?" Liam asked in confusion.

"Whenever I mention the boys, you change the subject. And when I beg you to call them, you would say you were going to do it later, then end up not calling any of them. I'm kind of glad that Louis reached out to you. It's about time you boys reunited." Sophia explained to him sternly.

We just stared at them in disbelief. I can't believe that they were afraid to call each other. I mean, I have no idea if Zayn was always afraid to call them because we never really talked about the others. I knew it was a touchy subject because I knew he missed them.

"At least you guys actually talked about getting in touch with the others. I couldn't even mention any of the boys names because Zayn would get all upset and lock himself in his room for the rest of the night." I admitted.

"Is that why dad would be in your room whenever I got home?" Jessica asked in confusion.

"Yup." I replied.

"Really?" Simon, Ed, and the other boys asked in confusion.

"Yup." I told them as Zayn hid his face in his hands in embarrassment.

As Gemma went to go speak about Harry, I noticed that Josh came over and whispered something into the girls ears and then walked away to the other side of the restaurant. I was about to ask them what that was about, when Emily spoke up.

"The girls and I are going to run to the bathroom real quick. We'll be right back." Emily said quickly, before getting up and walking away with the rest of them.

"Well, that was weird." Eleanor mentioned and we all agreed.

We all went back to our normal convesations before a familiar voice echoed throughout the restaurant.
